Redacting sensitive information within PDF files

On a mobile, this can also be achieved by covering over the sensitive info once in white, then once in black, then screenshotting. Drawing over it only once leaves it potentially visible simply by shifting the contrast up/down.

    Long Layovers on Advance Tickets

"Hello mate, I'm just going the shop" or "Just going for a smoke mate" has worked 100% of the time even when I've had no intention of doing either. (Don't ask, tell ;) )

Arrival time Vs door unlock time

Very petty for them to argue over a few seconds. That said, I'm not convinced you'll be successful - but nothing to lose by trying. If it's a fair few bob, I'd appeal.

No case: why are so many NIMBY’s protesting against rail infrastructure?

Sometimes it's as simple as people having a negative personality in general and complaining about anything and everything possible.

Are you eligible for any railcards? 16-25 / 26-30 / Senior / Disabled for example? You may also want to look at ticket splitting websites such as Trainsplit - you may be offered a cheaper combination of fares whilst still staying on the same train throughout. For example, it is often cheaper...

Avanti Standard Premium prices gone up

I would say no. It's an unregulated fare / supplement so quite frankly Avanti can do whatever they like with Standard Premium. It's also been the case for decades that booking in advance gives access to cheaper fares in general.

Travelling from Greater Manchester to London

Really quick answers as I'm out: Railcards can be used on Advance fares. The 26-30 railcard can be used before 10am providing the final fare is £12 or higher (know as the minimum fare). There are cheaper flexible fares not valid on the faster Avanti trains (link) from Manchester to London...

    No Return to Bangor?

Yes, most of the UK. There are exceptions but day returns only is the norm for shorter distance journeys. Llandudno is the first point at which period returns to Holyhead become available. That's £22 so doesn't save anything over two £11 Bangor < > Holyhead singles.

Manchester to Hereford: valid via Birmingham?

Agreed - if the OP wanted to use XC via Stoke it'd be an extra fiver.

Manchester to Hereford: valid via Birmingham?

West Midlands day ranger and a return to Crewe. £50 total before railcards. You'd need to go via Crewe, Stafford and Birmingham in both directions as it's not valid on the direct SHR-HFD services.
