    Probably best to see the 67 and mk4 thread as I'm unsure of workings I believe it's 8:50, 10:50, 12:50 ect that work as mark 4. A stop in any town should be 2 hours if you wish you proceed on mk4. It should be doable in a day, I've only stopped in Shrewsbury however both Ludlow and Hereford are...

    If you were to go to Wales a day on the marches could be pleasant with several beautiful towns and historic castles, every two hours is a mk4 diagram hauled by a class 67

    I believe that one only re entered service late last year after being out of use for 2 years so I doubt it'll go this year, probably next.

    If you get a 5 car 197 that can be a pleasant journey especially if there is the standard plus (or what was meant to be) units (113-126) as they have nicer seats in one part for the same price.

    Would want the 2056 ex Chester (northern) to Stockport arriving at 22:14 then taking the 22:23

    It may be capacity at canton for stabling / service. If canton are working on the 150s, 231s and 756s with possible future light work on 197s. Add to that the 67s and it may be there's no longer capacity for the 153/9s.

    You won't be getting a 150 up there anymore, as Traction knowledge has lapsed if I recall correctly from a previous post. The main issue i think is 197s are working the Maesteg and Ebbw Vale services which they were never intended for. Added to this some unreliability and I wonder if the fleet...
