Diamond Bus East Midlands (was Midland Classic of Burton)

Probably just a route renumbering to put it in another Leics group.

Government invests nearly £38 million to bring 319 new green buses to communities across England

The Yutongs appear to be very reliable and popular with operators. Reports suggest that their batteries are better too. The massive number of Yutongs manufactured, and delivered all over the world, must give them an enormous advantage in terms of experience to date. .

    Wellglade Group

Yes, just modern day Wellegande - slap on some paint and hope that will do. I guess the're still upset at Arriva having to take over all 4 workins because Wellade were always deficient

Driving well below the speed limit

Probably because it's a speed LIMIT - not a figure for everybody to attain.

    Stagecoach Cashless Trial - Illegal?

Mountains and molehills come to mind. Cash is already not accepted on our biggest UK operation. Elsewhere the vast majority of fares are cashless. . We only need progress/agreement on the 1% who will struggle.

    Nottinghamshire ENCTS bus pass problem.

Isn't Stagecoach the odd one out, using a different type of ticket machine ?

    Centrebus

Centrebus isn't just South and North (+ part of High Peak), it also trades as Chaserider and D+G.

    Centrebus

Not sure I agree with that. Many commercial routes are quite busy (possibly not where you see them?) and Centrebus does a lot of contract work that the Council(s) require.

    First Aberdeen

Artics are easier to turn than a 12m rigid. It's only the front section that needs to turn, the 'trailer' simply follows it.

    Wellglade Group

What turnaround ? Buses still cancelled, wrong liveries and far too many just Mango (meaningless to prospective pax). No need for them to waste resources on X38. Nothing like the Really Good Bus Company that it once was.

    High Peak Discussion

Agreed - and 'agile' is a good term. High Peak, and the whole Centrebus group, often seem to try hard and do the right thing - they don't always succeed but at least they'll make the effort.

    Wellglade Group

I've lost track of the sheer number of buses in Mango livery. Why on earth do they need so many ?

    Hulley's of Baslow

As part of the Centrebus group they could call on D&G, Chaserider or Centrebus itself if necessary.

Skylink Derby has been at least 3 branded buses short ever since the frequency increased to x15 mins (current pvr = 16).

    Wellglade Group

I'm sure it was reported that some of the Skylink E200MMCs had now exeeded 500,000. .

    Wellglade Group

Just as well that it's usually empty south of EMA.

    Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Thank you for a well written, factual update on the current situation. It's good to see everybody try to pull together when such events occur.

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Perhaps it's that they routinely advise the publlic of every problem?. I don't recall hearing that much about problems on the bigger systems (i.e Manchester, Sheffield etc), but that could simply be that they don't broadcast each and every issue. .

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Fair enough but NET themselves seem to regularly list problems, parts of routes that can't be served, accidents etc. In tram system terms Nottingham is small, just 2 cross-city routes - they could do with building some confidence with potential travellers.

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Surely, there's no likelihood whatsoever of the tram going to EMA, there's just too little there (even the regular buses take few passengers). Much the same for Derby, no chance in next 10-20+ years. I'd much rather they concentrated on getting the current system more reliable, there's problems...
