What to do when doors wont open

Yeah, I've did that a few times. Once the door is open, the driver won't go.

Abellio Scotrail - 1 year on

Still think it's really weird they have cut back the services to Uddingston. What's the deal with that?

Worst route(s) in UK for anti-social behaviour

Don't work in the industry, but I can't imagine the Saturday trains between Ayr and Glasgow Central are all sweetness and light. Regarding the first topic posts, the Balloch to Queen Street route is a nightmare even on a weekday. Bit between Balloch and Dumbarton East is where the trouble...

Stations you don't want to go to/be at

Newton is in the middle of nowhere too. Quite a scary place in the dark.

    Charing Cross (Glasgow) Staff

Yeah, normally only 1 staff member on at busy times. It's a bit chaotic when you need a ticket to get through the gates if your train has arrived at Charing Cross. Grim, grim area too. Just grey everywhere.

    Watching sport from a train?

Years ago, you could stop at Pollokshaws East (or West, can never remember) in Glasgow and look straight into Pollok FC Junior Football's stadium.

Put your ticket in ticket barrier, some guy hops in front..

You really need to command your space now. Always some joker willing to jump past you.

Put your ticket in ticket barrier, some guy hops in front..

You could put it in, some cheeky git runs around you and goes out. Same if you're disabled.

Put your ticket in ticket barrier, some guy hops in front..

and goes through the barriers and the gate shuts. How infuriating is this? Hasn't actually happened to me, but I've witnessed it a lot with other people at Glasgow Central. Bit of a scummy thing to do, if you ask me. How can you prove some guy has jumped in front of you if you've used...

Person hit by train near Bowling (08/01/2014)

Just seen this topic. Don't recall any level crossing on the route between Bowling and Dumbarton East. Railway line would be easy to get onto though, as it follows the cyclepath and the cyclepath is bloody empty in Winter.

    Hypothetical Glasgow Crossrail services

How hell-ish would a "Glasgow Cross" station be? Full of winos and dossers. I do like the sound of a Paisley to Springburn service though.

What is the work at Springburn station

Also doing something at Barnhill Station behind the fences at Platform 1.

Trains during Glasgow 2014 commonwealth games

Trains are now stopping at Dalmarnock Station on a Sunday. After 10:30am, they stop at the station.

Best view from a station platform

I must be the only one that likes the view from Platform 1 of Crosshill Station in Glasgow. Lovely. Bowling is another one.

Strangest looking passenger you have seen

Guy with a legit horn kind of thing growing from his head boarding at Glasgow Central Low Level. He couldn't obviously help it, but it did look rather weird and scary.

Epileptic Seizures on Trains - Are they common?

Don't know anything about First Class stuff, but surely the ticket examiner would pop his \ her head in a few times on the journey?

Epileptic Seizures on Trains - Are they common?

I didn't like the attitude of some of the other passengers on the service though. Some posh couple were worried how they were going to pick up somebody from Balloch, when the wee guy was being worked on in the next carriage. Wasn't just a couple of people working on him too. Must have been 10...

Epileptic Seizures on Trains - Are they common?

Hi! Was on the 9:18am train from Bellgrove to Balloch in Scotland today and the train had to stop at Queen Street Low Level due to somebody taking ill after taking a fit. I must say, the behaviour of the guard was great. He literally went to everybody on that train and said what was happening...

Police presence on late night trains.

Yeah. I'm just a passenger but you always get the angry, ****ed off drunks at that time in the morning. You do get the odd "WHAT YOU LOOKING AT? !" from them. Saturday morning trains are the worst.

Injury Between Hyndland & Partick This Morning

Caught it on the Scotrail Twitter feed about 9am this morning. Quite unusual to see this kind of stuff happening in Glasgow.
