I agree! Excellent smooth units, well built and I rarely feel/see any vibration or rattling issues.

Went on 168215 two weeks ago from Birmingham and I couldn't believe it when there were automated announcements (same as LM really)for each stop. I didn't think the 168s had this feature. Be interesting if the 168s came out in silver.

Wow, didn't expect Chiltern's 172 going down to LO. Although when GOBLIN is electrified, will they go to LM and replace some of the 153s or 170s there? Do you know which 170s would come down; I'll assume the older units although prefer the 2004/2005 sets as the cab ends with the new light...

Nice idea; bit complicated though I'd probably just take the additional 8 units! Although I've warmed to having a 172/2 set sandwiched between 172/0s at peak hours.

Hi there; at the moment how many of the 315s are required to work the Shenfield line? I was just thinking about the possible future cascades that the thameslink and crossrail projects would cause.

Having all the 172s under Chiltern would help things(e.g parts etc.), especially if the Snow Hill lines did transfer over.

I too wouldn't mind more silver sets; excellent trains that put the likes of the voyager to shame really. I think Chiltern ideally do need some extra stock. Every time I've come back from London at around 16:00 to 18:00 the trains are packed; the loco hauled sets need another car as both times...
