    Glasgow Subway new stock

You'd better be quick pal, they've started withdrawing them now. Won't be long until they're all replaced.

    Edinburgh Tram developments

If you download the ET app and only intend to travel on trams (not buses) in the City Zone then it's just £3.80 for the day ticket which is excellent value if you're just scooping trams.

    Lothian group (Network/Route Speculation)

Agreed. Realistically, as much as everyone has these brilliant ideas for East Lothian - I think the 26 and 44 need to remain largely as they are with additional express services supplementing them, rather than replacing them. That said, the Tranent section of the 26 I reckon could be...

LNER proposal to withdraw Stirling and Glasgow Central direct services: what do you think should happen?

Thing is, the Scotrail service hasn't been increased at all - it's simply been returned to pre-covid levels.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

Should the will be there to return 905 and 906 to Mainline service, is there much work to do? Would a repaint and fitting of current ticket machine do the job or have they been altered further for your work?

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

From day one the tram has been more expensive than the Airlink 100 and has also taken longer.

    Glasgow Subway new stock

This is a major anorak moment, but a few posts in here have suggested that you can ask the staff at the stations about the diagrams/units. Do they have access to a 'trust' like system? I require just one of the older cars (111) and would be great if I could ask the staff if it were out before...

    Lothian group (Network/Route Speculation)

In essence, a good idea. However, it cuts out large areas from the network - principally the 'main' area in East Linton and also a significant portion of the population in Dunbar, not to mention the local links to ASDA and the larger retail park soon to be built in the area. Unless there was...

There is the 400 on Boxing Day but not on New Years Day.

    Scottish Citylink

Well that timetable isn't ambitiously tight at all! Can forsee plenty delays occurring on that route.

To be fair, Wester Hailes isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be. I'm not sure why there are those who get uppity about bringing up an areas questionable activities. It's not a slur on everyone in that area but acknowledgment of a known issue.

    Scottish Citylink

A quick look on the Citylink website, and attempting to book the AIR service using a concession card confirms that they are in fact valid. Total price is £1.00 which is the standard booking fee attached to concession bookings. Attached is an image showing the "fake" booking on an AIR service...

    Edinburgh Tram developments

I'd been wondering if a bridge over the railway to allow residents of the new developments to use both train and tram would be forthcoming. Do you happen to have any further details to hand?

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

At a best guess, the 0910 72 will be formed of the bus that works the 0648 X27 from Deans to Edinburgh which is the new additional peak time service.

    Glasgow Subway new stock

Without opening a massive can on worms, is the general feeling amongst your colleagues that they are "fantastic bits of kit" when they're eventually meant to be driverless, thus ending the job of a subway driver?

McGill's Scotland East (Midland Bluebird and Eastern Scottish)

It's an interesting proposition though. I've not travelled on the X38 for some years now, but how busy is the service from west of Linlithgow into Edinburgh? Surely the journey time alone dissuades anyone from Falkirk or Polmont which is why the rail line dominates those markets? A reliable...

Edinburgh & the Lothians bus network speculations & ideas

    Currently 30 & N30. In the past you've had a mixture of 15/15A, 44A, 45 and also Prentice 111.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I'd imagine that there is a mutual respect for one another. Lothian's communications directly referenced Prentice when they altered the 106 whereas in the past, all you'd get was "other operators". There was also the partnership in recent years where Prentice operated the 69 on Lothian's behalf...

Mostly - they operated different routes within Musselburgh with the 106 going via North High Street and the 108 going via Tesco.
