Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but, how busy are the Sunday late afternoon services between Edinburgh and Glasgow?

    Door issues at Lea Bridge

Travelling through to Stratford today on the Greater Anglia line, due to engineering works the trains being used were class 379. As we were approaching Lea Bridge southbound, the driver stated that "due to a fault with the doors it may take 1 to 2 minutes for the doors to open". Coming...

    Two Together with 3 people

Just a query regarding the Two Together railcard. I have one card with my wife, and another with a mate I go out travelling with every month. If the 3 of us are travelling together, how would the fares work please? Many thanks

    Caledonian Sleeper discussion

Probably too busy patting themselves on the back at getting the Forth Road Bridge finished before Christmas to get themselves involved in negative publicity again

A bad day for LOROL and Abellio Greater Anglia

A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a train at Waltham Cross this morning (Wednesday, December 16). The 20-year-old was hit shortly before 7am and received injuries to his shoulder and ankle. A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "We were called to Waltham Cross station at...

Virgin Trains removes standard class quiet zone; worst intercity TOC in living memory

One of the problems is that when you book tickets online, your seat reservation can be in the quiet coach. Maybe if the companies made it obvious upon booking "THIS IS A QUIET COACH, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SEAT IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BE QUIET" then that might help a little.

    Ramblers make level crossings plea

Just read this: http://www.scotsman.com/news/ramblers-make-level-crossings-plea-1-3684179 I guess in some rural areas in Scotland, there may only be 8 trains a day on these lines. I presume Network rail have no plans to build lots of bridges over these crossings, and why would they if...

ECML Disruption - Saturday 27th December

The question would be when do you start/finish Christmas and Easter Reservations only. A few years ago, my wife and I were due to travel from London to Scotland for Christmas to join her family and our flight (23rd December - 4pm) was cancelled due to fog. I found that there was a 6pm...

    Ffestiniog Round Robin

Thanks for the replies so far. My plan is to go in early August, so if it's the bus replacement I will get off at Minffordd. Handy to know of a bus if the Ffestiniog is late, I'd prefer to be at Crewe on time for obvious reasons. I did look at going the other way around, but the the...

Weather related disruption - Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014

If they were anything like the amphibious pleasure crafts in London and Liverpool, then they'd probably go up in smoke, and there would be more delays!
