I heard that new Stadler Metro trains, fleet numbers 555001 and 555020 arrived in the early hours of today 19/04/2024 acording to the Newcastle Chronicle. They should be in use within the next ten years!!!! While the old fleet get completely worn out!!!!!

Seats?? Do you not mean "foot rests"? I cant stand feet on seats!!! No, it felt like new wheels have been fitted instead of feeling that my fillings had been shaken out, this was a smooth ride. I'm sick of waiting for the new trains though!!

4090 was extremely smooth on Friday night, Seems to be running on new wheels. It felt as smooth as an inter city train! Well done Metro.

I saw 4022 today. The paintwork is blistering. The paintwork on the refurbs cannot be much good! Plus; are the Metro trains being washed these days? They are filthy inside and out!
