    West Midlands Class 323 - the final countdown

    Went on 220 today with Northern - seemed to perform really well with very good acceleration - was this a ‘good’ unit? Unit was much cleaner inside than Northern’s other units - vinyl deep cleaned etc. Northern need to up their game!

    Stoke-on-Trent to Manchester cancellations AM peak 04/03 - any ideas why?

    Was it the 331 to Blackpool that failed between Congleton and Kidsgrove? The 331 then appears to have been rescued and then failed again between Cheadle Hulme and Stockport. It looks like this failure is going to cost a few quid with the delays caused. A 323 would have been much easier to rescue.

    Does anyone know if repair of the window frame corrosion is still to be undertaken? The corrosion was last attended to during the last c6 at Alstom (2012-ish I think) but all the frames around the opening hoppers now need attention.
