    Stoke on Trent to Croydon

What booking engine are you using? I've tried via Kensington and selected London Midland on National Rail and get £68.90?

    Stoke on Trent to Croydon

I can't seem to find this ticket via booking engines for 1st November http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=SOT&dest=WCY&rte=00774&ldn=1&tkt=CDR Am I missing something obvious?

    m ticket and flat battery

If you have an m-ticket make sure your phone is charged. If it ain't charged it's your own fault. There are plenty of ways to keep your phone charged these days. If I'm travelling I carry a portable battery charger that can charge my phone 4 times so more than enough for a days travelling.

Stockport to Littleborough route: Metrolink CTLZ

Thanks for the replies. Seems the easiest option is 2 trams to Shudehill and walk a little. I've never used a Manchester tram either:)

Stockport to Littleborough route: Metrolink CTLZ

Is this ticket valid on buses from Piccadilly to Victoria as that appears to be the best route to transfer. I've never travelled from Victoria and would be happy to walk if it's dry but don't want to get soaked if it's raining.

Stoke on Trent to Bradford / Saltaire - doh my brain hurts!

Interesting when I've tried trainsplit it comes up with a best price of £32.60, splitting at Stockport and Huddersfield. My worst case scenario journey the 2004 from Bradford does not show a split but journey includes Huddersfield and Stockport. The bus makes more sense for Saltaire as it...

Stoke on Trent to Bradford / Saltaire - doh my brain hurts!

I'm off to Saltaire and Bradford on Saturday. Key part of the day is Bradford City at 1715, so my train home will be 1936 or at worst 2004 from Bradford Interchange. I'm also planning to go to Salts FC in Saltaire, so I will catch a bus from Saltaire to Manningham (Bradford City) and a bus...

Wedgwood to Norton Bridge (Stafford to Stoke-on-Trent)

Is there not a rail service operated by bus from SOT to Wedgwood? There are hourly buses from SOT to Stone and I'd assumed they called there.

Stoke on Trent to Carshalton and back from Mitcham

Yes, Guernsey in town.:D I can't see any Virgin Saturday travel cards but I will look again ( I presume these are subject to a quota?) . Just looked on Virgin's site and nothing there. Interestingly they don't seem to offer London Midland's £38 return or £41 travelcard. London Midland shows...

Stoke on Trent to Carshalton and back from Mitcham

Yes, I'm going to football and I only have 30 minutes maximum to get from Carshalton Athletic to Tooting and Mitcham United.

Stoke on Trent to Carshalton and back from Mitcham

I'm looking to travel to Carshalton on 25th October and arrive at approx 11am, I'll then be making my way to Mitcham by taxi. At approx 5pm I'll be travelling back from Mitcham to Stoke on Trent. The cheapest I can find is a London Midland return from SOT to Euston for £38 and then use my...

It was just the rolling stock movement, a class 47 on the front and 57 on the back. Thanks for the info though.

Does anyone know what this service from Carnforth Steamtown to Lincoln is likely to be?

    Longton to Cwmbran 17/5/14

I'm off to Cwmbran on Saturday, I had planned to drive but was looking at the train alternative. I can leave at 0728 and arrive at 1115 via Crewe and return on 1814 getting back to Longton at 2125 again via Crewe. I have no railcard and the off peak return is £65.60. Can this be split to make...

    Stoke on Trent to Colchester

Ok, ta for the info. Is this something available from the Virgin guard or would his portable machine not cope with it?

    Loco2.com

I used Loco2 to book a Deutsche Bahn ticket from Frankfurt Airport to Augsburg. I felt the interface was much simpler to use than the DB one and will use it again.

    Stoke on Trent to Colchester

Thanks for that. I did mean advance singles. Silly question time, how do I book a Boundary Zone 6 to Colchester super off peak day return online? Is there a station code for that? It certainly gives more flexibility. With regard to LM, only used them a couple of times but I don't think...

    Stoke on Trent to Colchester

I'm thinking of going to Colchester United's newish and no doubt mundane  stadium on 22nd March. An advance 1st class return from Stoke is £83, however by making my way to Wolverhampton I can get a 2nd class advance return for £33 plus either an £8 advance return from SOT to...

Stoke on Trent to Eastleigh via London

Thanks to everyone for the replies. In the end I got a taxi back to the station and just got to the station as the 1714 approached. The planned engineering works appear to have been cancelled as we sat in Basingstoke for 15 minutes to adhere to the amended timetable.
