Perhaps its a case of inadequate training by the toc that employs them or maybe laziness on the gatelines part .... what I was thinking maybe if they dont do the job right is to write in to complain then something might be done about it or even have the staff replaced not that I want to see...

if in doubt ASK .... cant say what the staff at wakefield were doing as i dont know the full details or have seen the op's ticket for final destination .......... remember in disruption it vital to double check or even triple check with staff ie guard, travelcenter, customer services via phone...
