Haven't booked anything for next weekend yet. Is an off-peak return always going to be £80.25 (with 16-25 railcard)? Or is this likely to increase nearer the time, bearing in mind that's the opening weekend of the olympics? I've never seen it more than that, but then I've always booked weeks...

    London-glasgow

Thanks! Will deffo bear this routing in mind. Fairly used to running about like a mad person trying to make connections  Yeah, why can I never get my hands on any cheap fares for this? Do they come out at an exact time? I'm always on the Scotrail "bargain berths" site but there's never...

    London-glasgow

Hey. I travel down to London from Glasgow (well Carluke actually, but always connect in Glasgow) every weekend and vowed never to pay more than £35 for a single. Got my outbound (Glasgow-London) fare at £26.25 on Thursday 19th July but I'm struggling to find a ticket for the return London -...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

No this wasn't the sleeper service, it was just the bog-standard seated service. My faith in Megabus has been somewhat restored, as I received a full refund (plus the 50p booking fee) for the two journeys I mentioned previously. :D I have booked the sleeper service for this Sunday night for...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

Well that's me finished with Megabuses. The last twice I've travelled on the overnight Sunday night they have left a bus-load of people in the car park at Keele services for over an hour with no explanation, the door wide open and no heating. Since noone knows what's going on, and Megabus don't...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

It's an advance. Will ask the guard. Not awfully excited about spending an hour in Crewe station! --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Got away with getting the earlier train to London from Crewe. Couldn't find a guard but no one checked tickets so got away with it :) Also on...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

Thanks for this, didn't know you could use Oyster for this! It might be cheaper than £2.50 as my young person's railcard is attached to my Oyster. Anyway, it's not much of a difference pricing up for 23rd January... Oyster (£2.50) Clapham to Watford + Watford to Glasgow (£12.20) = £14.70...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

Ooh! This is definitely an option I hadn't explored! Thank you! Clapham Junction is only a 15sh minute walk so saves me getting two night buses. I've already got a ticket for the 05:39 from Euston one weekend in January, I assume it'll be okay to jump on at Watford Junction? 05:03 from...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

Problem with the 05:39 from Euston is that I can't (easily) get from Clapham to Euston that early as the tube doesn't open until 5:30 or something. Why is there no trains between that 05:39 and the 07:30? I will have 12pm starts after Xmas and the 07:30 gets into Glasgow a little too late...

    Glasgow-London return every weekend

Hi guys, this is my first post on here. Here's my situation... I travel from Glasgow to London just about every weekend, as my boyfriend lives in London now and I'm ridiculously bad at long-distance relationships. I need to leave Glasgow on the Friday at around 3-4pm as this is generally...
