Indeed they did, Optare were late with their order and the final 2 of them only just arrived last month when they should have arrived with the rest in May!!!!!

    Nottingham 'Bus War'

The worrying thing is quite a lot of the day Indigo is turning out to be a quicker journey between Long Eaton & Nottingham as that misses the Roadworks out at Olympia compared to Red5 & Skylink (Nottingham) The train would make a killing between the 2 places if Long Eaton train station was...

    Which buses do you dislike?

Ok the worst buses have to be now the Optare Tempo SR, you will find these on Trent Barton's Route i4 between Nottingham & Derby, the most running disaster on 4 wheels, forever unreliable, noisy, underpowered, uncomfortable, in fact I can't think of a nice word to say about them to be honest...

    Burton on Trent to Grimsby

Much better off changing at Sheffield, the direct trains from Sheffield to Burton tend to come from Leeds anyways, plus if XC have any problems up the ECML which has been happening a lot, you got the 2 EMT trains which start at Sheffield still as a back up, which still gives you reasonable...

    Merseytravel fares

It depends if your planning to travel in the morning peak or not, but a £4.60 all zones saveaway ticket should cover your entire journey shouldn't it?? I'm more inclined also to say that ATW sets the Meols Cop - Heswall fare, and is much cheaper splitting it at Bidston but even then it's still...

    Manchester Airport to Blackpool North

Yes that one does split at Preston, if ur still struggling for overcrowding on that train at Preston there are quite a few alternative Northern services from Preston too (3/4 I think) or there's the Blackpool South train too!!! To add to that very few normally would join the TP train at Preston...

How busy are the weekday HST's between Tamworth and Birmingham New Street?

I tend to aim for the standard bit of Coach B, tends to be very quiet in there as theres only 10 seats (if they are available)

St Pancras - Leeds EMT HSTs

The times Ive caught 1D69, The train has tended to arrive around 2337/8 ish, it waits for ages at Sheffield then its quite tight for time between there and Wakefield Westgate actually. The same applies to 1F70 as well but that one should get you comfortably in for 2300 providing it runs on...

How busy are the weekday HST's between Tamworth and Birmingham New Street?

You should defo get a comfortable seats on those trains, all you gotta hope is that they dont put a voyager on in its place, then it could get rather interesting to say the least (AND WARM!!!!!)

Chapel en le Frith/Chinley to London -

Theres a few off licences also over the road from St Pancras and Kings Cross stations, however be careful, check if the train that your travelling on doesnt have an alcohol ban especially because I believe the paralympics are on on the day that you are travelling as some train operators may do...
