Paralympian forced to wet herself on train without accessible toilet

I used to work for Crosscountry and for all there failings they were good at getting information to stations regarding disabled facilities, i suggest this is as much the station staff's problem for not informing her facilities were not available and offering an alternative service.

The annual "Boxing Day Trains" row.

My personal view is all shops should be closed on boxing day anyway to allow people a short time to see there families and if that happened there would be no need for boxing day trains

    Identity theft!!

I had a case exactly like this. I had caught a person and went through the due process only for a few months later for me to get a summons to give evidence against the person i had caught as he was claiming identity fraud. As it turns out the person did not attend and was found guilty the one...

What drives you round the bend when using the train?

I know about that being the TOC i work for :-P As i say even with that in mind i still don't agree with reservations. I personally believe it should be first come first served with seats just my humble opinion

What drives you round the bend when using the train?

I understand this having worked in the industry for 7 years now but its just my opinion. I've had two people exactly the same journey on the same train the advance holder sat and the other ticket holder having paid a good £45 more stood. I've never agreed with with however i totally understand...

What drives you round the bend when using the train?

For me its reservations. I dont think its right that people who spend a couple of quid on a ticket get a guaranteed seat yet people who have paid full price don't i've always said advance tickets should be booked on a train but not a seat, Also those people who reserve a seat but find a better...

court decides the lack of family-friendly hours is not discriminatory.

So glad someone decided to take some action regardless of how silly this seems on the face of it. As a former employee for CrossCountry i was forced to leave because the company would not give me child friendly hour despite the fact what i did for the company did not effect whether trains ran or...

Revenue Protection Officers' obligations under PACE

1/ We never know whether the person will end up in court. I had some cut and dry cases which were settled out of court. At the end of the day we are collating evidence which is then passed to our TOC who then decide if to prosecute and go forward to court so i would never say you will/will not...

    Crosscountry / MG11 ??

I have as staff been in this situation where i caught a person on day 1 and having dealt with them for ticketless travel warned them in future they MUST purchase a ticket before boarding the train. Imagine my amazement when the following day i caught the very same person again with no ticket...

Video interview - Senior Conductor EMT Nottingham

Im sure one of my questions was is there anything else you would like to tell us. I just again reaffirmed my desire to continue my career in a customer service enviroment

Video interview - Senior Conductor EMT Nottingham

Customer service is the massive thing. EMT are very customer focussed so the more you can press that the better. The video interview itself is written questions on the screen which you reply into your webcam. Id suggest treating it as though theres a person in front of you shirt tie etc. The...
