    Has anyone got a picture of a housetop plate? Sadly the source of explanation (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1326010638/) doesn't have, but does say: "A horizontal metal plate laid above the inside switch rail in a sharply-curved turnout to provide a checking facility for both routes."
