    Are Pathfinder for real?

To me the pricing seems pretty easy to work out, the train is a complex branchline itenary that has no doubt cost a lot to plan, I would assume the train will load only to around 6 coaches compared to 12 or 13 of a normal tour as per the last few branch bashes PF have run. So heres the thing...

    SVR Diesel Gala 2011

As a volunteer with the diesel dept at the SVR I can tell you that the organiser is well aware of it and at last years event as many trains as possible booked to pass at Bewdley used plat 2 going south and plat 3 going north allowing cross platform connections, hopefully the same will be applied...

    SVR Bewdley Question

12 minutes? That would be tight with diesel but doubt a steam crew would manage it, having worked in from BH which has taken at least an hour they are likely to want to get off to use the facilties, have a drink, sedate run round having sat at the blocks for 5 mins to allow people to look on the...

37075 in action - Evening dining train & Saturday Charter

A few views of 37075 in action at the Churnet Valley Rly from this weekend, the loco performed on a curry train on Friday night before being hired for a private driving charter on the Saturday. An excellent couple of days with a sociable crowd and a night at the Black Lion...

    SVR Bewdley Question

There was no event in 06 and the 07, 08 and 09 rosters were all available in advance free of charge, I would take this as meaning the days of keeping the cards close to the chest on rosters are over.

    SVR Bewdley Question

On connection you will have a problem with is Bewdley, leaping there coming from a Bridgnorth direction to go back to Bridgnorth will be fine, going Kiddy - Bewdley - Kiddy is highly unlikely to make though.

    Lets talk 50's

I agree with what you say, if people put nothing in then they should expect nothing back and not voice their opinions about something that has been done in other peoples time with other peoples money. Those that do put time or money into things should, in my view, then be allowed an opinion on...

    Lets talk 50's

I think what 87015 was trying to say is comments such as 'put your money where your mouth is' regarding people who have moaned about liveries are a tad unfair. How do you know those people are not shareholders/have not put donations towards the locos or have not been on every railtour since 31...

    My first railtour

4SRKT, no one that I knew was unaware of the fact it was a WCRC 47 back from Stanhope, is certainly was on the Spitfire website well in advance of the tour, it was originally advertised 37's both ways but I remember reading someone questioning it on the wnxx forum and shortly after Spitfire...

Spitfire tour to Pwllheli & 37109 at the ELR Sunday

Some photos from a good day out, shame about 37685 failing but these things can't be helped, 218 and 706 in tandem on the morning were rather enjoyable as were the two DRS engines sounding good on the cambrian. Decided to get off at Porthmadog though and headed up to Spooners on the Ffestinigog...

    Spitfires "The Prisoner", May 29th

Both powered Preston - Crewe being driven in tandem. Yep you can drive a pair of locos in multi even if the front one is dead providing the batteries are good enough.
