    First Class

I do like the First Class of First Great Western HST's as sometimes when you are on a long journey the more comfortable seat with at seat service (Weekday Only) is very nice. The Nice thing of not having to walk to the buffet and Que for your complimentary items. The Complimentary items consist...

FGW Bans Enthusiasts From Chetenham Spa?

It maybe that a few enthusiasts have broken the rules and Platform staff having to waste time telling them what to do. I travel / Walk into, lots of First Great Western stations and find that as long as you let the dispatcher know you are there and that they are happy with you in that position...

Reports of a fire on board a Northern unit

I refer to the Class 143 on 17 October 2004 at Nailsea and Backwell, which Caught Fire in 1 Carriage under the engine, Passengers De-trained and the whole train went up! The conductor was right to de-train the passengers as a result Both carriages were destroyed and no passengers were killed...

    What is wrong with CrossCountry?

Completely agree, Maybe when the FGW/EMT HST's get displaced by the new IEP trains then more HST's on the XC routes would increase capacity and cascade the 22x.

    What is wrong with CrossCountry?

The Air conditioning works on the 22x However the train is still 40 Degrees and unbearable on a warm day. Travelled from Weston to Dawlish and the train was so unbearable I got off at Taunton to get a FGW HST!

    What is wrong with CrossCountry?

Try the XC Service From Penzance to Glasgow central Takes about 9 hour and the carriages are about 40 degrees, They also stink! A HST or 47 on that service is a massive improvement to the voyagers!

Interchanging between Waterloo and City line and Northern line at Waterloo station

I remember going from Waterloo to Stratford and went to Bank on the W&C line, so I touched in at Waterloo, got to Bank and there is a gate-line to get out of the W&C line towards the central. I was very annoyed when you have to touch out and back in again at Bank. Not happy I was charged twice...

After finishing my first year of sixth form I will be organising trips to do this summer. Unfortunately I will not be getting any time to create apps like this as I will be out an about on the railway!

Does the Rail hobby need a kick up the......

An app which you can tick off the numbers of trains which you have spotted would be good. I would download that app though 43074. Condor7 is right with the need for some more technological envolvment with the hobby.

Does the Rail hobby need a kick up the......

Hello Condor7 I am currently 16 years of age an I do agree with what you say to a degree with the hobby being not as modern and technology using as other hobbies are. There are some groups that utilise Facebook to share photos with each other such as The UK HST Enthusiast group. I have found...
