    Wokingham to Heathrow Via Staines

Wouldn't it be easier to go up to Reading then get the RailAir from there to T5?

Does a Gold Card need a Photocard?

Yes it's an Oyster. But would I need a photocard for use of the gold card outside of London or not?

Does a Gold Card need a Photocard?

So despite having had two Gold Cards in the past, I was told today by someone in a ticket office that I needed a Photocard for "outside of London". There is no mention of a photocard being needed here http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ticket_types/46573.aspx, but the NRCoC say "Unless...

Well if Lufthansa advertise and sell it as doable then it should be. Might pay the 119 Euro fee and book someone to escort me through the short cuts at Frankfurt from gate to gate.

Does anyone know if 1hr 45mins connection time at Frankfurt within Terminal 1 is do-able? Landing there from Heathrow then a connection to Miami (can finally tick the A380 off). Both flights are with Lufthansa, so I'm assuming it's fine, but that depends on if there's any extra security along...

Bracknell and rejecting Annual Gold Cards

All the barriers reject them and it just tells me to seek assistance.

Bracknell and rejecting Annual Gold Cards

Twice or 3 times a month I travel down to Bracknell (for the past 18 months) and in this period any ticket with a Gold Card discount gets rejected at the barriers whereas all other railcards are let through fine. Most staff at the station don't seem interested in letting you through the barrier...

Mine was approved (well I checked) like 25 hours after I applied and it had been approved. However, there's a lot of people on twitter who have been waiting longer than that.

Saw a 747 do a takeoff starting from 3/4 of the length of Heathrow today, I thought it wasn't gonna make it at one point. Due to be flying out on one on the 8th Feb, as long as this stupid US Shutdown ends in time for me to get my ESTA renewed.

Weird Things You See People Do on the Railway

People who run down the entire platform when the train has just pulled into a terminus and has 10 minutes until it's departure time. The most annoying one at the moment is at the Southeastern bit of London Bridge when 40 or so commuters will try and fit on an already rammed train from Charing...

    Should I ask for compensation?

Is that a joke or something? In that case, can I get a refund on a flight I had with a kid crying behind me?

Southeastern station ticket offices can't sell Southeastern advance tickets !

Last time I checked, SE don't do any advance tickets at all on their routes.

So I paid £501 return from Heathrow to New York in BA's "sale" two weeks ago, now the same "sale" is still going on, but the exact planes are now around £445 return. How can they even get away with this? If they offer to refund me the difference that would be good.

    Oyster to Gatwick

I need it just for my Zones 1-4 Travelcard, I don't go out of boundary very often so theres no point in me having any credit on it with the travelcard too.

    Oyster to Gatwick

I had more than enough to make the £3 trip from Gatwick to East Croydon, which now means I have £8.70on my Oyster that I won't ever use.

It worked for me when flying with Virgin Atlantic and Delta. Could work in the same way sucking a boiled sweet works, but it does actually work.

Not too sure about Air Canada's policy on no headphones are allowed in ears during take off and landing. It's almost as if they like peoples ears popping. The only airline that have made me do that, I weren't happy about it.

    Oyster to Gatwick

The shock that come upon my face when you have to have a minimum of £14 on it to tap in at Gatwick going towards London. I had enough for the journey to East Croydon, but had to add more money that I will never use on it just to get past the bloody barriers. It's utterly shambolic.
