Hi, it is private security not an Enforcement Officer. I’ve reported to BTP, Southeastern and the SIA but would like to have a chat with the employer

Good Morning, A little random, but does anybody know the name of the company that provides security officers for Southeastern ? I have sent an enquiry to Southeastern but if anybody knows on here, it would help to expedite the matter. Many Thanks in advance

Slade Green - Denmark Hill via Dartford: dispute with Southeastern

I had many issues with Southeastern when I used an annual ticket which saved me an absolute fortune. Mainly it was one guard who wouldn't accept he was wrong, even when I had the paperwork to back up its validity. He couldn't have been that confident though as he never did anything about it...

    Southeastern to scrap trolley service

As a regular SE commuter, I never buy anything from the trolleys purely because I really begrudge the prices they charge. But that's a personal thing for me - I don't like being ripped off. As a commuter, you often feel as though you are paying through the nose for everything and the trolley...

An open letter to Southeastern (Managing Director)

The main issues for me have always been: The lack of communication The number of unmanned stations The focus on HS1 above all other services The reduction to 1tph at many stations as a result of the above

Big decrease in passenger satisfaction for Southeastern, big increase for Hull Trains

No surprise to any of us who have to endure Southeastern on a daily basis I can assure you !

    Stupid passengers

Most days people panic when the train splits at Ashford International with half going to Dover & half to Ramsgate. Without fail, every day, someone will hear the announcement then jump up, panic and run down the platform - or try to get through the (locked) drivers cab door !

Son turned off train for 'illegible railcard'

Is the OP ('s son) entitled to a refund of the original ticket ? Presumably the guard will have handed it in at the end of his shift as some form of confiscated ticket ? This would allow SE to match up the ticket to the railcard to the guard and allow for full examination of the facts.

    BITE card

Generally tend to use mine when returning from Twickenham after a few beers ! Brings the price of a Railway Station Burger King down to High Street prices !!

Doors opened with carriages off the platform

So we should wait until the driver makes the same mistake again ? What if the driver didn't realise ? Passengers often make "mistakes" yet the railway come down on them hard...

Doors opened with carriages off the platform

Out of interest, why wouldn't you want the driver to "get in trouble" ?

Pregnant commuter forced to sit on the carriage floor

If she wants a seat in first class as there are seats available there - why doesn't she buy a first class ticket ?

    Ashford (Int'l)to Gatwick

I see a lot of people buying tickets to Gatwick via Tonbridge from the Kent Coast - seemingly much cheaper than anywhere en route

Explaining a ticket to a conductor

I expect to be challenged on the ticket & have no problem with that as I am travelling via the shortest route by rail which isn't necessarily the "quickest" route that most people would take - but that's within the rules of course. My issue is with the staff member being unwilling to engage in...

Explaining a ticket to a conductor

So, one month on - almost to the day, I see the only conductor who so far has been the only one to take offence to my ticket. He looked at it and mumbled something. Once again I politely offered to show him the paperwork and the routeing guide rules but he simply said: "You're fare evading...
