Yesterday I did Newton Abbot to Newport on a FGW 150/1 ex LO. A similar 3 hour journey so I understand the pain!

If they do run I suspect it will be the same as last year, not using 323 units. They used a 150+156 last time if I remember correctly?

If it's getting that bad, try taking the slower Northern service. They aren't as busy across the Hope Valley, as a frequent traveller.
