Another customer took my Gold Card

No. Anyway, I have had no useful advice, I am deleting my membership here tomorrow.

Another customer took my Gold Card

That's not what happened. It slid via the 'conveyor' belt, but instead of ejecting, got stuck. Happens every now and again. Open up gate, open unit, retrieve. Anyway, TFL negligence was the cause, and they will be paying.

    Travelcards on Stansted Express

Yeah, I've used it before ex TH, although I've never had my ticket checked on the train. Remember a report here once that someone got fined travelling in First with a standard ticket between TH and LST, so occasional or targeted First ticket checks do happen.

Another customer took my Gold Card

Not an option at the station involved due to the gate layout. Yes, card has been replaced by the TOC (FGW) and I've filled out the replacement card form etc with the facts of what happened. Waiting for TFL to give a feedback response. Also have logged a 'lost property' report with the TOC for...

Another customer took my Gold Card

Was in an underground station recently, inserted Gold Card into ticket gate, got jammed. Went to grab gateline staffer, but by the time they opened the mechanism, my card was gone and another card (Return of an Off-Peak Z1 to Train station) was in the machine. Ticket has been purchased using a...

    Rail Replacement buses and tickets

If a RRB is operating in a penalty fare area, is that enforceable on a bus? Technically you could walk onto the bus and off the bus and never see a Penalty Fare Zone sign. As an aside, I rarely see people buy tickets for a RRB, and have only been checked once for tickets when boarding by RP...

Southern DOO: ASLEF members vote 79.1% for revised deal

Is the lack of conductors today on southern (sickness call ins I understand) anything to do with the current industrial issues?

Odd restriction code on Super off-peak return

This doesn't seem right either... Charges capped at daily price cap limit, equivalent to relevant Day Travelcard fare, based on all journeys made on the card between 0430 and 0429 the following day. Aren't oyster fares on HS outside of any caps?

    Southern TVM response times

Tried one of the far machines at Vic today (the separate bank that doesn't have the queuing control near the Southern Office). Very fast and responsive. So it appears that the upgrades will resolve this issue over time.

    Southern TVM response times

I'm surprised at all the glowing reports! The machines at East Croydon and London Victoria are a pain to use. I love the user interface (easy to use, and like the option for 'from other station'), but they do seem to lock up a lot, and they are slow to respond to presses. Also, I generally...

    Southern TVM response times

Does anyone know if Southern is planning to replace their TVMs any time soon? They are slow, the touch screen doesn't register correctly, and generally they are not fit for purpose.

Southern DOO: ASLEF members vote 79.1% for revised deal

Am on a Southern service today, and we were held at a station due to red signal. Guard comes on and announces we are delayed. After we move off, he launched into what I could only term a rant about how the train in front didn't have their rear lights on, was a doo train, so the driver had...

Southeastern delay repay, can only cash vouchers within 30 days

From the South Eastern website, this doesn't seem right to me. I have no current claims, but what are your thoughts? We will pay compensation in National Rail vouchers which you can use to buy rail tickets with any train operating company in Great Britain (including season tickets) and...

    Boundary Zone 6 to Gatwick

BTW, why isn't an East Croydon - Gatwick ticket good? More range selection, plus same price from memory for the shared tickets.

    Boundary Zone 6 to Gatwick

Indeed, pity they are so slow and cumbersome. Tfl Rail machines will also sell z6 tickets, can't think of any others.

Guards on Penalty Fare routes selling tickets on board

Yep, see it frequently on LM where people board without ticket and friendly guard offers one onboard (sometimes with a gentle warning about purchasing before hand) I just don't like the tone of the TF post. Just proves how useless they really are.

Guards on Penalty Fare routes selling tickets on board

Wow, what a pitiful article. Please, pretty please, let this person off their penalty fare. No. Oh, OK. Wah, Wah, Bye

    Special Offers Discussion

Cheapest I saw was £12 with £14.50 being the usual price.

    New restriction on Southeastern?

This is their view if you challenge them as well. I'd love to lodge a massive complaint over their refusal to accept z6 boundary tickets with a supplement, but my reasons why I can't have been explained before (original incident was too long ago, if I chose to repeat it technically I'd be...
