I will almost always use Northern through quidco. Not always because theyre the best rate (but often are) but because they get the payments out so quickly!

I was onboard a LM service earlier today where a guy sat behind me purchased a daytripper onboard. He was given a ticket from the Avantix and told to swap it for a daytripper ticket at the Bham Moor St ticket office. Perhaps this is similar to what happens if you buy out of area.
