Thank you for all those suggestions. We are looking to travel somewhere new, hence the list of places. We have visited Portugal, Poland etc before. We did a trip around Denmark Norway and Sweden, but not yet Finland.

They are pretty agricultural units (I have one in my Ranger) and have been dropped from the lineup now, in favour of more modern 4 cylinder 2.0 engines.

My personal experience of travelling from Coventry to London on Saturday with Avanti (1st class). Obviously the reduced timetable was published late. 09:30 and 09:50 cancelled. 10:30 turns up already full and standing (not surprising). 1st class declassified. Staff stuck in the crew...

I got on the 1751 without a ticket today and confirmed with a steward that this was permitted.

Is it possible to buy a return ticket which allows me to go outbound via Peterborough and return via London? I would like to take the 16:17 outbound on Saturday and then return Sunday morning. 1 Adult 1 Child with F&F railcard. The best I can find online is 2 single tickets for £150.
