Previously a postman in London with no prior knowledge of the railway and moved around 150miles for the job. No regrets.

    final exams

People do fail final exams as the have at my company but as someone posted earlier they won't let the finances they have invested you go to waste. Issues often lie within the methods of training and also you're willingness to come forth if you are not understanding certain subjects. I...

South west Trains Full time depot driver (deadline 03/06)

I am doing the same role at another company and that qualified salary for a depot driver is more than the trainee mainline salary here. It's a great way to get your foot in the door! At my company the average time in the depot is currently no more than 18 months before you get on the...

    Depot Driver Assessment Centre

Hi, I think the best thing you can do is make sure you do your homework of the the practice materials that they send you and maybe do a lil extra research on the mechanical comprehension side of things if you are not one of those that are mechanically minded. I've been through the whole...

Is a medical fail the end?

Hi, Im hoping someone in this helpful site can help me, I was wondering if you fail tour medical with one toc, would it be a fail accross the board abd therefore end with you being blacklisted (so to speak)? The reason I ask this is my brother had gone for two different interviews with bus...

    Depot Trainee driver

Are you lot really going at each other again? It's petty and pretty pointless, as long as you're happy in your role nothing people say really matters... ...Why don't you start a whole new thread about the roles that you're whinging about then that way we know that any additions to this thread...

    Depot Trainee driver

Perfect timing really as I actually rang them today. I was told that today was their last day of interviews so we will find out within the next seven days and then if successful we will be given a phone number to ring to book our medical. And also just incase you didn't know because I...

Had the 'Not met the required standard' email.

First capital connect also have a six month wait once applied.

Had the 'Not met the required standard' email.

I wouldn't worry too much as yes it is six months before you can apply again but that is only with southern, you can apply to all the other toc's if that's what you wanted to do but with southern you will have to wait until January.
