Where can I find Special Workings information?

Sorry to hear that, hope he makes a speedy recovery

No train services to the Lewes Bonfire this year.

I wasn't able to go but Sussex Police said that there were between 30,000 and 40,000 people there - this was quite a bit lower than last time 5th November fell on a Saturday.

Disabled passenger hurt while alighting EMT service

It depends on the type of wheelchair. On my wife's wheelchair only the person pushing/pulling can apply the brakes.

Trivia: Stations in line of sight

    Wivelsfield and Burgess Hill

    Trivia: Railway station hotels?

Yes - there is a 'private' gate at the end of the down platform which can only be used if you are going to the hotel. Is this the most recently built hotel with a dedicated access to a station?

My idea for Waterloo to regain through services

This was briefly looked at a few years ago but quickly rejected because of the huge capital cost, loss of capacity to/from Charing Cross and the relatively small benefit of through services between Kent and SWT land.

    Trivia: Two changes from London?

Stations on the Isle of Wight (change at Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour!)

Trivia: Stations that don't use the correct name of the place.

I don't think I've seen Wivelsfield mentioned - it's actually in the northern part of Burgess Hill.

    Newhaven Marine

I think the Newhaven Boat Trains were 12CEP + MLV in their heyday. Later became a 4 CIG attached/detached from a London train at Lewes.

Sadly not on it but I shall be somewhere along the route with my camera!

    London Bridge Train/Platform Step/Gap

Just to be pedantic - they are Railway Group Standards, not Network Rail Standards. Railway Group Standards are "owned" by the Rail Safety and Standards Board Limited. Decisions about Standards are made by a cross-industry committee which includes Network Rail, TOCs, FOCs, rolling stock...

    Gatwick Airport lines

The intention was to use the spare capacity for a half-hourly Reading service but, as far as I know, there are no definite plans for this. I doubt any other routes through Gatwick could increase frequency due to other capacity pinch points on the Brighton line (e.g. East Croydon, Redhill and...

    Wallers Ash loops

As far as I know, there is no absolute requirement for signals to be parallel, although it is considered to be good practise as it reduces the risk of drivers reading the wrong signal for the line they are on. If there is a good reason for not having the signals parallel (as at Wallers Ash) it...

Railway Touring Company Seaford line trip

I see that this tour is being repeated on the following day (8th June), albeit from/to Waterloo - must be proving to be popular.

Railway Touring Company Seaford line trip

I was surprised to see that this tour is even doing a trip into Newhaven Marine. I thought that the Marine had been out of use for a long time. Has this now changed? If so, does anything use it?

    Barnham Depot

Didn't they used to berth in the 2 or 3 former sidings to the south of the loop?
