    Arriva Pulls Out of Porthmadog

Lloyds Coaches have quite a strong presence in the area with the 35 and 38 @ Blaenau Ffestiniog and the T2, 38 and 99 @ Porthmadog. A possible replacement service for the 3B could be Blaenau Ffestiniog to the Oakley Arms @ Maentwrog. This could be timed to meet the T2 to Porthmadog where...

The last section for each operator Oswestry to Wrexham isn't showing yet though, any signs of a timetable yet?

Quite, but you can only go on what you read and several people have seen the start date of Augustv 13th for the start of the T3 on the invite to tender documents. Also both Lloyds and Tanat Valley have withdrawn their services on the X85 from September 2nd, this would naturally leave one to...

For some reason this seems to be a state secret, it was supposed to commence on Monday, if it does the possiblilty of the buses being new and in Traws Cymru livery see very remote. The T11 according to the rumour mill should start on September 13th, probably be a simular situation. lt could be...

Wouldn't a Llandudno - Blanaeu - Dolgellau go against the principles of Traws Cymru - there is a train service from Llandudno to Blanaeu and Llew Jones operate a commercial bus service viz X19. Also Lloyds operate the 35 service from Blanaeu to Dolgellau.

You're correct of course EM16 ORS came to Lloyds from Express Motors.

In what way they are both no longer running bus services, whatever the mechanics were the outcome is the same.

The service is I believe a PVR of 6 vehicles, when GHA went out of business they only had the 3 deckers, and saloons of which there was only one EM16 ORS, this was put up for saleat site and the deckers went Ensign for sale. Lloyds did not purchase anything straight away as the service was...

It would not be the first time a Council has awarded a tender leaving the operator no time to secure new vehicles. If you read through the documents, the date the tenders had to besubmitted to the commencement date of the services left no time whatsoever for new vehicles to be sourced or built...

Ok understood, I have heard unsolicited reports that the T11/T12 may be a joint operation between Lloyds Coaches and Tanat Valley but I hasten to add it is rumour only.

Does this mean then that they are not really a part of the Traws Cymru operation and cognisant with the WAG operationas a whole.

Very interesting though somewhat convoluted, has anyone any information regarding the T10, T11 and T12 i.e. operators start dates etc. Given that 56 days should elapse from registration to start date that would mean September 27th if anything is published today, some time ago September 2nd was...

I agree with you entirely, but the WAG said the whole Traws Cymru network was free on Sats/Suns and politicians are loathe to back track unless they are called Trump.

So the T2 running from Mach to Aberystwyth doesn't compete with rail?
