Information for GTR Southern passengers during strike (no DOO discussion)

Maybe it's Customer Services turn to go on strike...

Information for GTR Southern passengers during strike (no DOO discussion)

Hi all...its been a while sinceI was on this board, but has any Season Ticket Holder actually been contacted by Southern about their additional "Season Ticket compensation scheme"? No one I know has, so I was wondering if there is a list of lines/stations that Southern intend to apply this to.

    Delay Repay Question

Southern also operate trains to Kent out of Victoria.

Appropriate ticket not available from station

Doesn't surprise me at all with regards to TfL, I remember a few years back at Shepherd's Bush Overground station it would not even give Gold Card Discount on the TVM. Absolute joke.

    Revenue protection "stings".

Doubt it, as they'd have to wait an hour for the next train!

    Southwest Trains Promotional Day Return

Thanks folks. As I have a Z1-6 annual season, does anyone think I would be able to get a train directly out of Waterloo to Crewkerne with this (Surbiton being in Z6) even if it does not stop at Surbiton, but passes through as it might save me a few mins of travel time - otherwise I'll just get...

    Southwest Trains Promotional Day Return

Hi all, I'm heading to Crewkerne tomorrow from Surbiton, and have purchased an SWT Promotional Day Return. The Restriction Code is "UY". Does anyone know what this means? Does it restrict the time of the specific train mentioned in the itinerary on the planner when booking? The reason I ask, is...

    Revenue protection "stings".

Hardly. Estimates have about 32 people exiting the station everyday, half of whom are season ticket holders.

    Revenue protection "stings".

The funniest and most pointless "sting" I ever saw was once at Ashurst station, on the Uckfield line. For anyone that does not know this station, its a very small station with no ticket facilities other than a Permit to Travel machine (which works about 50% of the time). I got off one...

thetrainline - Passenger Charter Renewal Discount

But not so good for the employee who would no longer be entitled to additional benefits such as the free weekend tickets from SWT. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- It won't affect me directly at the moment, as I travel on Southern, so am entitled to delay repay...it was more my...

thetrainline - Passenger Charter Renewal Discount

Hi all, My company is shortly about to switch over season ticket loans so we all have to go through thetrainline.com. Does anyone know what their season ticket renewal policy is? e.g. If I normally get a season ticket directly from Southwest Trains, I may be eligible for a Passenger...

Dispute SWT refusing to change demagnetised ticket.

That's not going to help me the next time I renew. It appears at my work that Trainline has renewed their contract to provide corporate rail tickets and part of the deal is that all season ticket loans must be used to purchased season tickets via Trainline. The natives are going to be very...

Is it possible to claim 2 delay repays at the same time?

Not strictly true, as abandonment is also a reason. e.g. from Southern's website: A Delay Repay claim should only be submitted for journeys that were actually made or journeys that were abandoned due to disruption (in the case of Season Ticket holders)

Is it possible to claim 2 delay repays at the same time?

Hi all, I'm due a delay repay/service delay refund for the chaos that ensued at London Liverpool Street last Thursday evening. My options at the time were to travel to White Hart Lane or Northumberland Park. Because there were no trains going to either station, is it allowable to claim...

Sussex commuters sentenced after bogus compensation claims

lol...you can always rely on the Uckfield line for a good £100+ per year. I'm on East Grin now, and have only had 3 delay repays since August.

    When smartcard tickets go wrong...

Definitely stick to paper tickets. A couple I am friends with on the Uckfield line used to commute from Ashurst using "The Key". They got so frustrated with it continually failing to load their weekly season tickets (pretty much every single week - and it would take 2 or 3 days at least each...

    Long time expired railcard

Looks like the OP has had a result there. £91 settlement is more than reasonable by the TOC in this instance.

Notice of fine & Collection order

Or it could be that the TOC has offered no other evidence whatsoever to the court, except for the RPI's statement.

Notice of fine & Collection order

Again, you are misquoting the OP. "I queried if I needed to provide all of this information and was told I did" That is not the same as asking someone why they need to know something.
