    1S51 Plymouth-Glasgow 07/03/16

This was diverted between Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham, Via Severn Tunnel Junction, and Lydney due to a reported Kink in the rail on the Up line at Coal Pit Heath by 2o90. :-)

XC Voyager Coach A Seating Plan

XC is train line, XC just piggy back the system. XC don't use a ticket engine its sub contracted to train line who then have to pay to use the other TOC's TVM machines.

    Advance fares & Airport Landings.

It think there is a easy solution to this problem, Simply have Airlines validate advanced tickets at the customer service desks (Next to the check in desks) with a pre printed note of flight delay (They have the airport arrival screen in front of them) then allow the customer to travel on the...

What DMU's do FGW use between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare?

They did however they were only Bristol Temple Meads to Weston - Super - Mare. Until the Platform 4 was built when it was extended to Bristol Parkway

    Great Western Livery

It is still at Laira (Hopefully having Vinyl's applied) There is no allocation for the foreseeable future. The only people to tell you would be FGW Control staff or Laira Depot staff. Nobody else knows. :-( FGW Genius would show the allocation on the day it was to return to service...

Arup wins £60m Bristol rail link design new Portishead station

Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread. (Admin please move if Not.) I have a few questions regarding the Portishead line. With most of the line from Parson St to Portbury the line will share its tracks with regular freight traffic to and from Portbury dock. This will be a pain...

    Great Western Livery

Excellent picture. Thank You. :-) Wonder what is with the single purple coach towards the rear. Looks very good though.

    43126 in Vinyl

My shot of 43126 this morning. Looks very good in my eyes but the white won't stay white.

5Z43 is running with 8 FGW/ GWR MK3 carriages in olive green the same as 166204. I won't get a photo (In Italy in the morning) Surprised I haven't seen it Online today. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O14561/2015/07/28/advanced

    Class 387

My understanding was as the 12 car Class 700's are introduced the start of the Class 387's to GW begins (Unless it isn't energised yet). As the Class 700's begin to take over TL services the 377's will cascade to the Kings Cross - Kings Lynn line. Releasing the 365's to Cascade to GW. Slowly the...

    the Increasingly Frustrating Thameslink

Under the current ticket system no direct compensation is given out to season ticket holders as the TOC cannot prove you were on the specific service that you are quoted on. Therefore as an average of all trains during the day is taken (PPM) and your discount and pricing structure is worked out...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Just a quick question, I got 47554 on the X8 to Clevedon last night. Was wondering if that is the first time a Streetlite has been to Clevedon?

455's at Reading - how rare?

I have seen 450 8 cars at reading before.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

I can't see anything on the forthcoming Timetables on the First Bus website. What sort of times / Time intervals are they?

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

The X6 though is ok with B7's / B10's and are full but not standing. The X4 is only at college times and are always overcrowded going down the motorway to Weston and coming back at 17:00 from WSM. The X5 between Portishead and Clevedon is very busy (sometimes standing) between Clevedon and WSM...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Should be but most often they are B7's that run 20 mins late because of the loading issues.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

The X4/X5 would not be suited to the Streetlites! The Enviro 400 just about cuts it but even a B7 is full and standing most of the journey.

    Medical test

Any employee of FGW has to go through a basic Drug and Alcohol test, Even Non-Safety Critical staff. Not sure about a hearing test though.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

I overheard somebody in Bristol Bus Station saying that by the end of July 2014 that streetlites will be on the X2 / X3. On another note I saw 47450 on the X9 to Nailsea.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

About time. It is a pain getting to work on sundays and Bank Holidays from Clevedon. I have been asking First bus for this for 4-5 years now. :-) Hopefully it will be possible to get to Bristol for 09:00 on a sunday now
