    XC enforcing invisible reservations

No. Stealing luggage is a crime. Ignoring someone trying to tell you nonsense is sensible.

    XC enforcing invisible reservations

So you want to appear to be stealing someone's bag to get their attention. Wow, really professional.

    XC enforcing invisible reservations

That only works if the bag is in a luggage rack unseen by the passenger. If you reached up to the luggage rack or touched the bag on the floor next to me without my permission, you would be sent away with a flea in your ear.

    XC enforcing invisible reservations

Simple solution is to just stick some headphones in ignore the guard. What are they going to do, call BTP to enforce the non-existent reservations, and delaying the train in the process.

    XC enforcing invisible reservations

XC hasn't done its bit, as it will have chosen not to delay the train whilst BTP are called to deal with the person who would not move.

Late train further delayed by rest break

So you are saying that the train manager's employer can pretend not to know their illegal behaviour not taking a break, even though they must know it occurred because they sanctioned the train leaving at a particular time with them on board. They would get laughed out of court So in the Kings...

Late train further delayed by rest break

Would be interesting to read the legislation that set out these fixed times. Why/how could the book be thrown at them. The train company knew the time the train manager started The train company knew the time the train manager took their breaks The train company knew the time their...

Late train further delayed by rest break

But if it is a "legally required" break, then it is not down to the individual to choose to break the law. Surely if an individual does choose to sell the safety of the passengers by accepting a payment to ignore a legally required break, then both they and their employers would be liable for...

Late train further delayed by rest break

So the much revered safety is for sale? How little silver does it take, or does it depend on how illegal and dangerous?
  12. D

Late train further delayed by rest break

There seems to be a bit of a contradiction between a "legally required" break, and an employer bribing an employee to break the law. Surely a safety conscious employee would report their employer to the appropriate safety regulator if that happened.

Season ticket holder claimed over £1000 in delay repay in 2014

No, the obvious answer is that the ticket clerk accept the vouchers and not inconvenience the customer any more.

Season ticket holder claimed over £1000 in delay repay in 2014

The people behind should have turned up earlier, then they would have been in front, not at the back of the queue.

Season ticket holder claimed over £1000 in delay repay in 2014

So why was the guy who received £1000 worth (amongst others here) refused?

Season ticket holder claimed over £1000 in delay repay in 2014

If it was that close, I would just stick in the claim and let the train company work whether to pay me or not. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- So you buy one (season ticket a year) and could receive 726 vouchers, but at that station can only use 10? How do they expect you to use...

Season ticket holder claimed over £1000 in delay repay in 2014

The first ticket clerk refused. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/money-saving-tips/11321315/Rail-commuter-claims-1000-ticket-money-because-of-train-delays.html "When Mr Burridge tried to redeem the vouchers towards his 2015 season ticket, he said that one ticket office...

Legality of finishing short on Advance ticket

In that case I am honestly puzzled by what you meant when you said - "Saving money" means buying the cheapest 'legal' ticket. Fraud means not buying a 'legal' ticket. Which category does someone fall into if they deliberately buys a cheaper Advance ticket, knowing that they will travel...
