Single deck dominators weren't exactly common, especially the less than pretty ELC bodied ones. A couple for Barrow in Furness, and 6 for Hartlepool. Dumping sewage onto tracks is horrible for trackworkers. Toilets should of course be serviced and available. But, with my risk assessment head on, perhaps allowing a tank to overflow for the last few hours of a diagram onto hopefully remote tracks that may not be visited by a worker for weeks...

Agree totally. The older Yokogawa DCS (distributed control system) keyboards used to control the plants where I worked were ABC layout, whereas of course all the PCs etc were QWERTY. Whilst most of the DCS work didn't involve typing, when it did inevitably I'd end up typing everything twice...

You suggested 500k to build a house, years ago. Odd that, when even now you can buy a large 4/5 bed house new, including the land that it's on, for around 350k.
