    Graffiti on our trains

One of the cornerstones of English law is that we all respect each others person and property. If the majority of us ignored this chaos would reign. It seems to me that daubing up anothers property, irrespective of how good the art is, without the owners permission is striking at the heart of...

Water Orton Memories part 1 1994

Back in the early 1950s I used to sit on the wall by the Dog Inn at Water Orton. Back then there was a Signal Box by the footbridge called Water Orton Station Junction. About half mile towards Birmingham there was a very busy large sidings with many freight train departures. All thats left now...

    Graffiti on our trains

If these so called artists were made to clean off there graffiti they would suddenly realise what work is. They would not be so keen to do that!!! If they had a job they would not have the time to vandalise every blank space they see. On saying that perhaps the real blank space is in their head.

IT IS the Government's duty, isn't it?

The real question is. Can we trust private companies to be responsible for a major infrastructure of the country like the railways. Personally I don't think you can. It is imperative that in the final analysis that the Government has the final authority.

IT IS the Government's duty, isn't it?

    Graffiti on our trains

If graffiti artists believe they are true artists why don't they sign their name and address at the bottom of their paintings? What are they afraid of!!

    Graffiti on our trains

Graffitti:- A BLOT ON THE LANDSCAPE. A genuine artist has consideration for others. These people don't. They are not good enough artists to get recognition in the correct manner so they vandalise the landscape in frustration.

    TPE ticket policy

I travel many miles by rail and I must say that most Conductors are polite and helpful. However some seem to have a strange attitude to the travelling public. Last week I bought a ticket at the booking office after waiting 15 minutes in the queue whilst a person in front of me spent ten minutes...

Livery variations & full fleet details - East Midlands Trains

Mixed --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Today I was at Boston and I seen the strangest mix of Multiple Units on the 1058 to Skegness. Leading was two 153 units, followed by a 158 unit, followed by a 156 unit. The unit colours were all different. I assume this is East Midlands policy...

    Blackpool Question

Hi, If you walk from Blackpool North straight down to the Sea Front, turn left along the sea front and keep walking. After about half mile or so you turn left up a road to Blackpool South passing the football ground to the left. You can catch a tram for most of the journey if you want. You may...
