A rare appearance on the 10:05 Pendeen to St Ives A17 this morning was Lizard liveried Solo 53256 rather than one of the three Atlantic Coaster livered examples. Also in service on the route today was Dart 42874.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

I hope this is not the case as the early morning and late afternoons services which coincide with college times often cause a full sized double decker to reach capacity. As I experienced with the new Solo's on Monday, all seats were occupied and with standing passengers as we left St Just for...

New Optare Solo 53253 on the 10:05 Pendeen to St Ives A17 this morning and from the tracker I see 53255 in service on St Ives to Madron A17.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Today I travelled to Penzance from Pendeen on the 10:05 A17 this morning which was in the hands of new Optare Solo 53253 (WK68BTO) resplendent in Atlantic Coaster livery. The seating is the same as that on the MMC's with USB charging points. The seats were comfortable, although the interior got...

That is good to know it will be interesting to see how they perform.

Thanks for this information. Is it the intention to schedule the 3 Atlantic Coaster liveried Solo's on the A17 Pendeen to St Ives route? If so as a regular user of this service I can say that the move will be unpopular with the public. It is true that there are a low number of passengers during...

Saw Trident 33242 (LT52WVL) this morning in Pendeen working the 10.05 A17 to St Ives looking very fresh in Atlantic Coaster livery with a full rear advert for The National Trust. Will be interesting if it will inherit a Northern Ireland registration.

Yesterday travelled on new blue 33302 on U4 from Penzance to Helston, and later on the return journey in the late afternoon. Also saw 33301 in service on the U4, with 33164 on 37. At Penzance 33001 was unusually seen on a T1.

Does anyone know when they are due to arrive at Camborne or when they are due to enter service?

Here is 52554 looking a bit smarter on Western Promenade Road, Penzance during a diversion on Mazey Day on 29th June 2013.

The Cornish Embassy bus (W899VLN) was also with the Man Engine at the launch of its 2018 UK tour at Geevor Mine, Pendeen on Saturday. There seems to have been a lot more people than at Tavistock, as there was a large queue outside waiting to board so I was unable to get a photo. I assume that it...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Yesterday (24th March) while travelling on the A17 from Pendeen to Penzance, our bus Scania L94UB 65763 (YN05GXM) sustained a broken fan belt in Boscathnoe Way, Heamoor. Two fitter arrived from Penzance with Ford Transit Connect van 90672 (LT57XDK), but no fan belts that would fit could be...

The final day of the Summer timetable and the last day of the Atlantic Coaster A1, A2 and A3 circuit from Penzance - Land's End - St Ives - Penzance. I completed a full circuit with a break in Porthcurno and St Ives today. Starting at Pendeen, 32102 to Porthcurno via Land's End A3; 32209...

Today another Tinner MMC 33467 working the A17 route and also noted on A3 closed top 33234. Was informed by the lady who works in the Penzance bus station travel centre that the 15:45 A1 departure from Penzance was worked by a "Blue" closed top double decker - this may have been 33234 or even...

I saw it yesterday it was 33461 on the 16:20 departure from Penzance to Pendeen. I passed it on the way home broken down on its return trip back to Penzance/St Ives near the junction of the North Road, north of Newbridge with the driver on the phone.
