    Frequency of Weekend Closures

Looks like on the w/e 27&28 July & 3&4 Aug there is also a total closure of London Charing Cross / London Cannon Street / London Bridge (High level) with diversions to London Victoria or New cross terminators. Last one of this scale was during the London Bridge works.

    Bexleyheath line bother Feb 2019

During disruption I've been over the Sidcup & Crayford crossovers and also wrong line/direction moves between Sidcup & Crayford. The NorthKent controlled Signalling seems to allow it, albeit with no intermediate signals. Only once, during a embankment slip, been over the Lee one and that...

SouthEastern - Lack of working toilets on trains

Is it in the Franchise contract to provide working on-train toilets? If it is, then what is the penalty if not? Then we get into the discussions of the merits of Concessions via Franchises contracts.

Orpington to Charing Cross via Sidcup & Greenwich line

Think it's more to give the Sidcup line a service, than for that particular journey. There's enough RR Bus's that weekend as it is. And maybe it will also give a good view of the Hither Green depot as well.

Orpington to Charing Cross via Sidcup & Greenwich line

If you want an unusual bit a track, on the Mayday weekend due to Engineering work closing the Lewisham area services from Orpington run via the Lee Spur onto the Sidcup line then round the Woolwich/Greenwich line then via the RVL onto the Charing Cross lines. eg...

Train drivers - getting permission to video from their cab?

The RAIB Interim report: Collision near London Waterloo station, has two stills from the forward facing CCTV. One showing the position of the switch rails, the other the aspect of the signal. So it certainly has it uses...

South Eastern ITT - train service requirements

From an operational point of view it looks to be all about reducing the conflicting moves across the Lewisham junction. All I can see that will go across the diamond, and also using the Tanners Hill fly down, is the 4 tph (+2tph in peaks) Charing Cross via Bexlyheath service.

South Eastern ITT - train service requirements

Looks like some changes to Metro the service patterns, if I read the tables rights. eg Sidcup line : 4 tph 15 mins evenish, not Lewisham made of 2 tph London Charring Cross - Dartford (and maybe onward) 2 tph London Charring Cross - Crayford and then onto London Cannon st via Woolwich. 2 tph...

    London Bridge reconstruction works

From : Thameslink’s 24tph introduction held over to 2019 "Speaking exclusively to RAIL on November 15, Chris Gibb, chairman of the Thameslink Programme Industry Readiness Board, said that as soon as drivers were trained, GTR services would be diverted via London Bridge from January instead of...

No Boxing Day Southeastern HS1 service this year (2017)

There a few WTT showing, but since the Gatwick express is showing as a Bus I suspect they have just not been canceled out of the WTT yet.

No Boxing Day Southeastern HS1 service this year (2017)

The only Boxing day service I've seen so far (no doubt sure someone will correct this) is London Overground, West Croydon to Dalston Junction. None of the London airport services look to be running.

    London Bridge reconstruction works

Looking at the timetable from Monday there are still a number of evening peak for Charing Cross services showing as pass for London Bridge. I would have expected all services to call now 2 platforms each way are available.

If a train is booked to stop, must it, in fact, physically do so?

A good few years ago now, I was on a peak morning SE metro service to Cannon St, metro service always called at London Bridge, but this one for some reason this one did not. The Pax were not amused. At Cannon St all I can describe as a mob descended on the Cab end, the driver quickly put up his...

Access to the Huskisson Memorial monument

Memorials, if you can call it one, are not always public. According to http://www.kentrail.org.uk/north_downs_tunnel.htm There is a statue of St. Barbara 10 meters inside the CTRL North Downs tunnel.
