That's the bag with a pen, newsletter, and a couple of other things inside...Not really a welcome pack as such, you should have received that well before your contract.

MTR Crossrail - Now recruiting for Trainee & Qualified Drivers

Just wondering if anybody who has been in training for a while can pass on some info? I'd like to know how far into the training is the first time you have to report to Ilford rather than Liverpool Street, and how many pre-6AM starts there are in the first couple of months? Thanks for any help.

MTR Crossrail Trainee Train Driver Old Oak Common

I'm curious, these positions are advertised as Old Oak Common, but the Paddington services aren't beginning until May 2018...How does that work?

    Good CV

My TOC didn't even ask for a CV, as TDK says the application form is everything.

MTR Crossrail Trainee Train Driver Old Oak Common

Paper...Personally I purchased a book with lots of these style tests in, it served me very well and on the day found the test relatively straight forward. I wouldn't recommend practicing exclusively on computer and then turning up on the day without having done any practice on paper, this may...

MTR Crossrail - Now recruiting for Trainee & Qualified Drivers

Ah, I stand corrected then....Do you think those who have been recruited to ilford will have the chance to change depot or swap with someone down the line? I'd certainly prefer old oak common!

Are you proud to be a train driver?

And completely untrue. Don't listen to people who simply have no idea what they're talking about.

    Interview Questions

If there was a fatality on the line, I'd tell the customers what I've been trained to tell them. That's what I'd answer in the interview.

    Interview Advice Please

Any answer I tried to give in my MMI that was not in the last couple of years they wouldn't accept and prompted me for a more recent one. Not sure if that is a rule set in stone or just the way it went for me on the day. Threw me a little bit as all the answers I had put down on the form before...

MTR Crossrail - Now recruiting for Trainee & Qualified Drivers

Has anybody with an upcoming medical received written confirmation of the medical? I've got mine in October but have had no luck chasing them up about it, they said they'd send out confirmation a long time ago.

I don't think so, I'm not sure there is a central london depot, if there is (paddington?) it wont be until 2018 anyway, so they wouldn't be taking people on there now that's for sure.

What do people make of this : TRAIN DRIVER COURSE – 1-DAY RECRUITMENT

I think the general consensus is don't bother, all the information you need and more is right here on these forums. The books on the other hand have been found useful by many.
