According to my source at Olive Grove, 35261/3/4, 35270/3/4/9 and 35283 have arrived from Leeds so far. Departing from the South Yorkshire fleet are the remaining Enviro400s, with six stood down pending cascade as of yesterday.

At the risk of being accused of bias, I'm not sure 014 can be considered better than 021, particularly since the latter's power fault has been repaired. It was much improved when I sampled it on Thursday, and is certainly better than the likes of 003 (what's happened there?), 014 and 033.

There is one surviving unit (508212, ex 508133) which could theoretically be preserved, but I very much doubt it'll happen unfortunately. No plans for 507001 to be mainline certified, as far as I'm aware.

I'm aware of what that lift is sometimes used for, I'm just sick to the back teeth of people playing the "I'm Scouse" card when it suits them.

Looks much nicer compared to the last time I was on Manannan. I still rate its predecessors Snaefell and Viking higher though, much more pleasant to travel on in comparison.

I can't say I support the idea of having politicians calling the shots where public transport is concerned, and am pleased franchising is unlikely to happen here in Chester. The private sector has much room for improvement, but it's better the devil you know, in my view.
