Has anyone had success appealing against the train driver simulator assessment at second fail?

So as I read it, 1st attempt failed, then had a day in the sims covering the parts that wasn’t passed. 2nd attempt failed, by not showing the assessor that he wasn’t competent in correcting the parts he had previously failed on. Is there any chance of posting which area’s not passed? As it...

SWR Trainee Drivers at Staines, Woking and Waterloo

Don’t bother contacting them, if you make it through the sift or not they will contact you in due course, they are a nice bunch in HR and will be snowed under with applications. Patients is key with the railways, so just go about your day to day running of life, they will contact you.

Is it normal to have extremely long wait between Assessment and Depot Interview? (SWT

Hi Val3ntine I was originally down for Woking, they then asked if I would change to Staines as they need more drivers there. Personally it's much better for me as I live less than 10 minutes from there. What depot are you down for? I may yet end up on the November course, can't see me having...

Is it normal to have extremely long wait between Assessment and Depot Interview? (SWT

Passed the MMI, now have the medical next week which shouldn't pose a problem, with the possibility of being on the October course. Are all the courses held at Basingstoke? Also is it a mix of different depots attending or do they all come from the same depot you was given?

Is the MMI conducted by one or two interviewers and is it OPC or someone from SWR?

Is it normal to have extremely long wait between Assessment and Depot Interview? (SWT

Hi Dan Thanks for the reply, thought the MMI would be a bit more intense than the DMI, thinking up a couple of answers to each questions. Working in a safety critical position already I have quite a lot experience to fall back on, just don't want to fall at this stage being so close. Well...

Is it normal to have extremely long wait between Assessment and Depot Interview? (SWT

Having passed my DMI, I have been invited to attend an MMI. Was looking for some answers on how SWT go about conducting the day, i.e. SJT, answering 6 questions based on questions asked earlier that form the interview. How long does the interview last? And what sort of questions are asked? Don't...
