hi all, I am looking to go to york in jan or feb 2012. Leaving on a sunday & coming back on the following tuesday. Would really want to avoid the cross country services as never seem to read good reviews on the trains. Any other suggestions? MTIA. gary

Thanks all for the great info, we are flying up for the weekend but exploring the different option of using the train on the way back, for a bit of a change & providing it is not massively too expensive. Seems like it can be done at good cost & thanks again for the info ! Regards. Gary
