    PAYG TfL zone 6-1 question

For a single (peak time) journey from Romford to Farringdon, what would the PAYG fare be? My understanding is that a single peak journey is £5.10 but the above route involves exiting barriers at Liverpool Street NR Station and then entering barriers at Liverpool Street LU Station to get the tube...

    An "also available at" question

Does anyone know whether it's possible to purchase an annual season ticket between Leigh-on-Sea and London Terminals, with an "also available at" Southend Victoria for alternative travel from SOV into London via Shenfield?

    Sudbury branch

Last December Bures station was made a request stop outside of weekday peak times and I found this a bit odd as it has higher passenger usage (62,000) than the only other intermediate station on the line, Chappel & Wakes Colne (37,000). Out of the two, I would have thought the quieter station is...

    "Route also available at"

My season ticket that is valid "between London terminals and Gidea Park" has "Emerson Park" printed underneath the heading "Route also available at". I asked a member of staff what this meant and she did not know; does anyone here know?

    "London..." prefix on station names

Travelling on Thameslink, your train will call at "London St Pancras" and "London Blackfriars" and not at "London Farringdon" but rather just "Farringdon". This seems a bit unusual to me given all three take their names from a geographical area (rather than a street for example that could be in...

    Berney Arms

A rare holiday to the Suffolk/Norfolk border this summer will bring me, my wife and 6 month old child to within a few miles of Berney Arms and I am keen to take the opportunity to visit the station. However, as far as I can see, our options are either to: 1. Catch a train from Reedham to BA...

    Crossrail: announcements at stations

Are there any indications yet how Crossrail services will be displayed in station departure boards or audible announcements? The reason I ask is because many of the outer stations are very much National Rail oriented and Crossrail will be a TfL operation, so can we expect the...

    Oliver Cromwell breaks down

Quite a bit of press coverage of Oliver Cromwell's journey from Liverpool Street to Norwich but it looks to have broken down between Diss and Norwich, causing knock-on delays to Greater Anglia services. Shame! http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55042/2018/02/22/advanced

TfL delay repay - paper ticket

I can't figure out from TfL's website how to claim a delay refund on TfL Rail with a paper season ticket. It looks easy if you use Oyster but there is no link for paper tickets (apart from a "National Rail smart card"). Any ideas? Thanks!

    Wembley Stadium

From Liverpool Street, which is the best station to use to get to an event at Wembley Stadium? Either Tube to Wembley Park (longer walk to the stadium) or Tube to Baker Street then main line from Marylebone to Wembley Stadium station? Would there be a difference in fare?

Have Berney Arms passenger numbers reduced since the pub closed?

Since the pub closed last year, I wonder if there has been a noticeable decrease in passengers using the station? I heard the pub reopened last month but not sure if the rumour is true.

    Great Eastern main line closures

Are the weekend closures between London and Ingatestone likely to continue until the summer, or even beyond? I need to book some accommodation in or near Sudbury in July and need to know whether I'll have to take a bus between Ingatestone and Newbury Park or there will be trains into London...

No Greater Anglia trains Witham-Shenfield (27/01)

Just heard on the radio, must be chaos on the GEML this morning. Overhead lines damaged apparently. Any commuters living beyond Shenfield have a helluva task getting to London today!

345 tested at Shenfield in early hours

http://www.essexlive.news/crossrail-s-secret-shenfield-station-night-time-tests/story-30063813-detail/story.html "Crossrail have been spotted testing out their new trains at Shenfield station during a mysterious visit in the early hours of the morning." Ooooo..!

    Goodmayes incident 26/9

I understand a person was hit by a train this evening at Goodmayes and is hopefully recovering in hospital. One report says the train involved was traveling from Liverpool St to Gidea Park - was the person hit on the down electric line by a metro service? If so I would be surprised as the fast...

Gap between train and platform has increased

I have noticed a number of announcements at future Crossrail stations on the GEML warning passengers that the gap between the train and platform has increased. However, I can't say I've really noticed an increase, at least not at first glance. Does anyone know what work has been carried out that...

    Trivia: Most attractive London station?

In your opinion, which is the most attractive and impressive looking station in London? For me, it is probably St. Pancras.

    Stratford (London) to Gatwick Airport

Hello I have a PAYG Oyster card. Does anyone know whether it will be cheaper tomorrow off-peak to travel from Stratford-London Bridge-Gatwick using my Oyster card for the whole journey, or Oyster between Stratford-LB and then a one-way paper ticket bought at London Bridge for the LB-Gatwick...
