    GroupSave to Birmingham

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Interesting point regarding validity but someone else will have to be the guinea-pig I'm afraid!

    GroupSave to Birmingham

Three people travelling I imagine. So, just to clarify, GroupSave is valid on Virgin these days? I'm very out of the loop at the minute.

    GroupSave to Birmingham

Hi all, first post for ages! Would it be possible for me to buy a GroupSave ticket to Birmingham from Littlehampton provided we used Chiltern or LM from London? I assume it is, per the GroupSave Map, but I can't force it to show on the ticketing sites. Thanks in advance.

    Frequently Requested Diagrams Updates

I believe there is one 460 diagram scheduled on Saturdays, but I'm not sure of the details.

    SWT diesels?

Some peak workings are 158s yes, as the usual 450 is needed to bolster trains to London. Once the peak is over the 450 is split from the other units at (I believe) Portsmouth & SS and takes over.

    First Train of 2012

    Whichever 377 oprated the 12:45 Littlehampton-London Victoria on the 2nd :)

It's 4 diagrams. I'm not sure how many spares are on hand at Selhurst.

377/2s are regulars on London Metro services. I expect they are seen daily at Sutton.

Severe delays at Waterloo until the end of service

Somebody has been hit by a train at New Malden. Waterloo looks chaotic on LDB, no times, just "Delayed" next to nearly everything. edit: Just seen the other thread, only Ctrl+F'd for Waterloo.

    377209

I think only four, with maybe one or two spares. The rest just get allocated third-rail only workings. I saw one en-route to Southampton the other day!

    Art with a capital F

I actually quite like most of them, but the ones that are just stripes are ridiculous. I fully appreciate that artistic merit extends further than the talent required to paint the picture but I think those ones may be taking that a little too far. I could've done those in five minutes in MS Paint.

Ore Tunnel work to close Marshlink rail line

It doesn't mean anything. If it isn't cost-effective to run trains, and it isn't by all accounts, it won't happen.

    377133 - 2+2 green seats throughout

Only 377101-119. 377120-139 have (or had) 3+2 blue/grey/red throughout, 377140 onwards are largely the same as /2s, /4s and /5s, ie 2+2 in the outer cars and 3+2 in the middle with green upholstery. Good webpage: http://www.southernelectric.org.uk/features/sn377int01.html

    377133 - 2+2 green seats throughout

I knew they were being refurbished but I didn't know they were changing the seating layout, interesting. It's doubtless to do with the "unification" of the 4 coach, DC only 377 fleet.

    The station proximity poll.

I've never timed myself. I reckon I could do it in under 10 minutes if I rushed but I always give myself enough time to make sure there's no need.

    WCML loco hauled is back

The headcode of the 18:43 Friday only (I think...) Euston to Crewe, the scheduled service operated by the Pretendolino.

Flitwick to Milton Keynes Central 22/11/11

There's a once a week (!) bus from Flitwick to MK and would you believe it, it arrives at 10:35 on a Tuesday. Maybe worth bearing in mind although obviously you're up a certain creek if the bus breaks down. http://www.grantpalmer.com/route%20timetables/Route197%20%28Tue%29.pdf I think I like...

    Feltham - London1256 Travel Card

Yes. Likewise a Zone 6 only Travelcard (if such a thing even exists) would be valid on a 73 down Oxford Street.

    Group Save with Chiltern

Are rules different in Chiltern-land? I've definitely got a Super Off-Peak Day Travelcard with GroupSave discount before.
