    Lothian Buses and ECB Discussion

Think I'll just stick to the train in the future was just asked by driver to leave bus as I was the only person left on and he was running 40 minutes late and wanted to take bus out of service. only reason I took the Ex2 was to avoid the walk to linlithgow station but I've now had to do that...

    London to Italy by train

The rooms were quite small as it is one of the newer pod type rooms but it was immaculately clean and didn’t hear a noise all night. The selection of tv was brilliant as well and all movies were free to watch. Out of the 4 hotels I stayed at during the trip it was my favourite.

    London to Italy by train

Can't even trust the ticket booths either, On my recent trip to Naples when i went to the booth to buy a ticket to Sorrento the cost was 3 euros something and I Handed over a a 5 euro note and got the ticket, i then waited expecting change but the person wasn't for giving me any and ushered over...

    London to Italy by train

Depends how much you want to visit Rome. After visiting by train earlier in the year I’d go for the second option. Milan is nice but not much to see other than Duomo cathedral. Saying that my experience of Naples has put me off Italy for a good while. Many, Many food places in and around...

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

They aren’t extending any 3-Cars. The order was 24 4-cars with first class and 46 3-Cars with just standard.

How many extra standard seats will the 8th carriage bring over the current 7? Cant be that many more as most of it will be first class which will get a doubling.

    London to Italy by train

Personally i'd go via Zurich, I do like Switzerland very much. I go a Daytrip to Geneva for the motor show every year and if i ever had a chance i'd move there without hesitation such a lovely city. Although you are correct it is quiet which is why i like it so much. And don't worry about...

    Class 365s to Scotrail

Surely for 4 trains an hour on doubled up sets it’s 16units for full service? Plus a couple that can be rotated for maintenance?

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

The 365 is a shorter carriage. 20m compared to the 23m of the 380’s. so an 8 car 365 should just fit.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

I was on a 3 car 380 that was the 1745 service leaving Waverley the other day, and I think a 4 car runs the odd hour xx:15 service from Waverley as well. So 6 380's currently in use I think. 10 365's would in theory allow them to run a fully doubled up peak service but no room for maintenance or...
