    Ticket Checks

On every journey, that I have traveled solely in Scotland, the staff at stations and on the trains have been excellent, Informative. It was a bit of a nightmare getting to ladybank (cant remember which station that time, I presume as the return was from there) between Christmas and New year...

Prosecution for alleged alteration of date on carnet ticket

to be fair, it is the first question that I have asked on this thread. Also all most of my posts were included in one post, automatically. I presume from the thread that a carnet ticket is one where you fill the date of travel in yourself, so only asking to confirm. Though whatever answer was...

forgot to activate mobile ticket- encountered revenue protection inspectors

The frontline staff should not be put in the position in the first instance. I have seen on a local bus recently, usb ports every other seat, should trains have these if they are doing this kind of ticket? If it is a one off situation, it should be accepted that it maybe a genuine error and with...

Prosecution for alleged alteration of date on carnet ticket

The only reason I see the sol of any use is to negotiate a settlement outside of the court. If it goes into a hearing and you are found not guilty, your costs should be awarded to you. I do think that they would only pay out at the legal aid rate from central court funds, which may not cover you...

Prosecution for alleged alteration of date on carnet ticket

It would depend on whether the op is pleading guilty or not guilty. Though he should receive the application to court and the evidence used along with the summons. If pleading not guilty, it would go to second hearing, at the first hearing you would (or should) agree witness and other evidence...

facing court twice for the same journey

Following the rules and advice given for the forum, I can not answer your question and only speculate. As i had not slept for days and probably average about 2 hours sleep a day, I can not recall the exact things that happened or asked the clerk in the office. That does not make sense. It is you...

facing court twice for the same journey

I was not aware of a lot of the rules until the last few weeks and having to deal with the case in Cambridge. Though i have booked other tickets through the rewards scheme, which did not include any VTEC train or Eastcoast. Though it was impossible to book one ticket and purchase another with a...

facing court twice for the same journey

Firstly you had to redeem the points, 255 for a standard class single ticket. You then got an email confirmation and 6 months to actually book your ticket. I still had 252/3 points that I was unable to exchange.
