    Triple Competition in Spain

That wasn't my experience when I visited a few weeks ago. My AVE tickets were available as QR codes in the RENFE app and the same codes formed my Cercanías tickets which I scanned to gain entry through the barriers. I didn't have to load the Cercanías tickets onto a separate chipcard.

    ScotRail’s New Trains Procurement Programme

Would the Treasury fund them? Would they not be funded by Transport Scotland / Scottish Government? (I appreciate that much of the SG funding comes from the Treasury (some income tax receipts come direct), but it comes in the form of a block grant and it's up to the SG how that's distributed)

Ongoing ScotRail disruption - Day to day discussion and updates.

An article on the BBC says "ScotRail said if drivers begin doing overtime again a full timetable could return within 10 days" so it'll be interesting to see how accurate your guess turns out to be.

They don't. They refer to reducing vehicle-kilometres by 20%. Subtle but important difference.

Scotrail - Post Covid Consultation - Service Reductions

Consultation response now here: https://www.scotrail.co.uk/about-scotrail/fit-future. Includes the interesting claim that "Even before the pandemic, on average, each seat was empty more for more than 75 per cent of its journey". (Mods - could this thread be moved to the timetable forum, where...

ScotRail Service Reductions from 4th January

Not a very attractive service if you want to travel from Glasgow to Ayr anytime between 0830 and 1030.

    UK Connectivity Review

I don't think that this analogy is quite right. In Scotland at least, the roads being discussed (A75, A77) are Trunk Roads. Powers to manage and improve the Trunk Road network are devolved to Scottish Ministers amd exercised through Transport Scotland. TS are engaged in a wide-ranging review...

    Haymarket to Dalmeny electrification

Judging by this image, I would say that the tripwire, approach lights and "15ft fence" referred to above would all be below the level of any OHLE.

    Haymarket to Dalmeny electrification

Scotrail - Post Covid Consultation - Service Reductions

    I don't think it does get 1tp2h fast. From Glasgow there's fasts at: 0830, 0900, 0932, 1000, 1030, 1200, 1530, 1629, 1734 and 1747. Bit of a gap from 1200 to 1530. Having additional fasts at 1130, 1230 (instead of 1200), 1330 and 1430 would provide a more sensible pattern at the expense of...
