LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

16 hours a week and it's £24214 at the moment but there's a payrise coming in March. The amount it goes up will be the February RPI percentage plus 0.25%. The February percentage will be released on the 20th of March. https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices

Should have mentioned that this also contains useful tips for the interview and other helpful stuff.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

There's never an actual test, but I'd still say that you should have a read of the material they send you. No need to print it though, spectacular waste of paper, they'll print out all the important stuff for you anyway and give you a folder.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

There are currently 32 NT drivers in training on the Picc and 4 existing Picc NT drivers have just been sent to full-time this week.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

TFL is a very accepting and accommodating employer. My only advice would be to be totally honest with them at the medical and see where it goes. There are many, many drivers on the Underground who are on anti-depressants and/or other medication, all of which have to be cleared by the medical...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Imagine the heart-sinking feeling when I got to AC1 and realised I had left my passport at home..... I like your way of thinking, it is indeed a good company to work for, the positives far outweigh the negatives and you'll find that there are plenty of people that will moan about it, yet...

Arriva Rail - London Overground - Trainee Positions

I'm from a manual line so the changeover wouldn't be *as* difficult as if I were coming from an ATO so that's a plus, and like you mentioned, the license itself is one of the biggest draws for me..... Thanks for the info, I shall ponder.....(but not for too long!).

Arriva Rail - London Overground - Trainee Positions

Thanks, very helpful, sounds like a pain in the thingy if I'm honest and I'm probably best off staying where I am. On a side note, I hear that standards are very high and SPAD's are almost non existent, is this true?

Arriva Rail - London Overground - Trainee Positions

Bromley Boy, would you be able to elaborate a bit on what makes it so intense? I'm currently an LU driver who may be interested, but not sure if I want to rock the boat and apply for a new job with loads of new learning for not much more money (should I get through the process).

Arriva Rail - London Overground - Trainee Positions

As per the title, they're taking on trainees at New Cross Gate and Willesden. If you're applying then do it ASAP as we all know these positions are highly sought after and often get taken down before the deadline. Good luck. http://www.arrivaraillondon.co.uk/careers/vacancies Trainee Train...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

That's one thing I noticed back when I did mine, and something that stayed with me, that people seemingly hadn't bothered to do their research/practice before the event. There were a number of stupid questions asked, questions that wouldn't have been necessary simply if you'd had read the...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

You've nailed it mate, no point whatsoever in doing the practice tests again and again. Now that you've done them once you know what will be coming your way on the day in terms of format, the practice stuff is pretty much what mock exams were at school. The only thing worth doing is printing...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Very good advice, I too finished all the questions on both the English sections with enough time to be able to go through them again, and without finding them very difficult at all to be honest, but on the other hand the logic one had me working right up until the final whistle and I'm certain I...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Can't comment on what questions they asked me because that will skew your expectations for the interview, so it's best for you to go in having done your own preparation as per their letter/reading materials. What if someone here reels off the questions they were asked and you get completely...

Trainee Driver - Should I stay or should I go?

Good to hear mate, always worth another go if the opportunity is there. If this time it still doesn't work out then at least you can look back and say you tried with all your best.

Trainee Driver - Should I stay or should I go?

Sounds to me you need a change of instructor more so than anything else. Don't pack the job in just yet without tackling this issue and trying a change of instructor first. You're not the first, and won't be the last, person to feel disheartened during training and it's imperative that during...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

I had my AC2 on a Friday and then received the good news on the Tuesday a few days later. They tend to call from a private number so stay tuned.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Quick FYI, there's now 27 training on the Picc. I'm gonna make an assumption and say that these people passed their AC2 a month or 2 ago and have been waiting patiently for a course date which has now finally rolled around. For you guys doing AC1/AC2 at the moment I wouldn't be surprised to see...
