    PRIV Oyster

I have come to the conclusion this is wholly unacceptable, from tfl. Immediately withdraw any agreement in place that entitles LOROL, LUL and MTR staff any perks or privileges whatsoever on national rail facilities. Including immediate withdrawal of Priv Cards. Mentioned by PuppCuff. This is...

Yes I have asked a mixture of LO and EL, they wouldn't even get up of the chair in the ticket office. They said speak to underground. This was when I just asked about a discount before saying it was a staff card. So I don't think they would even bother to add a Railcard. you may have more luck...

That's right 3.45 is the cheapest I believe possible Priv journey to cross London. Still £1.75 each way as you said compared to 65p. Plus in ticket form. I would also break the ticket if it's cheaper too. If RST pull me up on this purchasing habit I will explain the issues we have been having...

LOL. That made me chuckle. You're right we should, I might vault a barrier tomorrow and say 'prosecute me', technically that would be allowed and we are within our right to explain that we don't have the correct concession available to us, maybe not vaulting the barrier XD but having free...

    PRIV Oyster

That's very true. What tfl should do is issue oyster cards preloaded with the discount via a form to be filled via RST Also RST online , you can buy tickets thankfully via London but it's about getting it as cheap as if it were to be made on oyster with the discount. For example Watford...

Exactly! The option is right there. Silly, there is a tfl staff email that is publicly available on Tfl.gov but I was going to email to ask about this. Do you know why this was sent. We are perfectly entitled to this discount.

So Woolwich arsenal can do it or did they flatly refuse too. So abbey wood is off the list. 1667668747 It's all RMT. But tfl are making it difficult for non tfl staff to claim the basic NR only discount. Staff aren't trained adequately and it was pointless removing oyster facilities from...

    PRIV Oyster

Unfortunately June last year they pulled all oyster readers from ticket offices. Tfl rail and LOROL ticket offices had oyster facilities within them , always did mine there. Now it's via TVMs and union dispute means they want all Ticket office staff on the platform. So it's creating challenges...

Good to know ,Will try that to never been to abbey wood but the savings will be worth it, Ealing is nearer but a trip east if I have no luck.

Stratford is a NO no. Even both sides of the station said they can't do it. Someone did mention EalingB. I'll give it ago.

Still no luck here either folks. The RSL cards were valid from 1 Nov. EL stations including Paddington which many are saying they had success in getting it applied have said they don't have the authority anymore due to union. OG stations say the same. I've emailed RSTL for assistance as...

How do you feel about rail staff travel

Hey, ITSO is the technology behind today's smart cards oyster cards, TOC smart cards are all powered by ITSO technology. Trying to think of a few more There was however a brief that said staff facilities will eventually come to ITSO this year but perhaps this was delayed due TO C19

How do you feel about rail staff travel

Is there any update for ITSO cards being issued for rail staff . This isn't this year as they send out paper cards but what about next year , does anyone know , it would make leisure travel for staff so much easier due to ticket office queues and many being closed at weekends

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

Oh I see of course no it would not, unfortunately a lot of knowledge on here, for the world to see. I guess A lot of it is quite “secret” also.

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

we have barcoded tickets which are sold greatly and are then clipped. Problem is flexible tickets which have barcodes don’t get scanned, they then refund them even if the customer has travelled. A new level of fraud there too.

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

Well customers are well aware of the system and the flaws. I didn’t mention though any further details. I’m trying to combat this and The customers aren’t helping though

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

how invalid. More like providing a service. a passenger asked I said that is fraudulent and must never been done. i Ensure customers have the correct ticket and adhere correctly to the rules

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

That’s very true, sometimes a phone stops a ticket working, but once a return ticket (the 30 day portion) has entered the barrier, is there any mark on there so that a RPI can check that it’s already had it’s one use in the barrier , someone could keep using it? they could use the return ticket...

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

Apologies I’ll rephrase in the edit. Basically can anyone check if the return portion of that has been used more than once without the barrier saying “seek assistance”

Detection of fraudulent reuse of tickets

A passenger asked so I’ve raised this with higher management as it’s fraudulent and our RPIs don’t use such equipment but we understand greater Anglia do? Therefore we know ticket barriers can check open return (1 month long tickets) if they’ve been used more than once but can a RPI at any...
