I'd like to think that Platform W was a link to the past, as the former "goods" platform was originally part of Leeds Wellington Street.
But I think the original intention was for reopening the existing two "goods" platforms between W and (old) 1 as platforms X and Y.
Bizarrely Halifax railway station is slightly closer than Brighouse railway station.
The nearest bus stop is around 10 minutes walk away (the buses don't pass Brighouse or Halifax railway stations).
Fort William - Inverness was a local service bus via Loch Ness in the 1990s, outward ex Inverness was a normal single decker,
the 1735? ex Fort William was one of the local minibus types of bus, not best pleased.
There will be no Northern services through Bolton until further notice. This situation is expected to impact rail travel south of Bolton for several weeks and is due to a burst water main and subsequent damage to a railway bridge near Moses Gate.
This is an 'extra' to the two-hourly stopping service and I think was introduced as a relief service, I think it is a good idea to have 1 limited stop trip to encourage travel on the line.
In another timetable was loco-hauled and had to get back to provide a peak-hour trip to Harrogate.

Sorry I didn't mean you could do it in 9 hours, I meant you'd be on the train for around 9 hours plus a break in Lübeck (I haven't checked that)
Tønder to Lübeck 4¼ hours (there's a 20-min connection somewhere en route)
Lübeck to Szczecin 5 hours
In fact you can cross into Dänmark to the town of Tønder on a S-H ticket. So three countries in a day? About 9 hours traveling time from Tönder to Stettin on RE trains plus break
As mentioned earlier, some Regionals run on a shorter route to the smaller stations in the city centre, the intercity trains take a longer route to reach the main platforms at Termini.
