    Cracked skin on fingers.

Bodyfiller is a real culprit for drying your skin out. Apart from how absorbent it is, the chemicals (harderner etc) are an irritant. Sanding dust also very bad. I find it gets worse the more you have to wash your hands, becasue the natural oils get depleted and then you have to scrub more and...

Make lorries a bit shorter ? Nah, but sereiously folks. Why not have drop down barriers liek the ones on level crossings. When they are down, you cant' drive past without it being totoally obvious. Then stick some camareas on it and hey presto, points mean a ban etc.

Do British people expect everything they are allowed to touch to be inherently safe?

It is kept tidy, but wihth the best care in the world, you could go round that place all day and find sharp things, because that s whjat its like in there place.s If you look where yuou're going, youd' be fine. If I got hurt in there i'd take responisbilty and move on, not sue the yard.

Do British people expect everything they are allowed to touch to be inherently safe?

No dispuete with that. Our local breakers yard lets you go in and take a bits off the cars. It's great, because you can get things in there they don't save in theses over the counter places. But they don't stack the cars up on top of eadh other anymore, incase some loon gets in one and it falls...
