    Avanti West Coast Cancellations

I've noticed a lot more cancellations at Lichfield TV on Avanti with no alternatives provided. Disgraceful that people paying top dollar for Avanti/Any Permitted tickets and being forced onto the slum express LNR! As a comparison, virgin always replaced a cancelled Lichfield train with an...

RMT DOO Dispute on West Midlands Trains

Won't be able to get to Rugeley via Birmingham on strike days either, chase line will only operate walsall to Birmingham

    Chase Line... Shambles..??

1647 and 1723 from new street terminated at hednesford, during rush hour this is quite bad.

Trivia: Stations With A Small Number Of Terminating Services (But *Not* Zero)

Hednesford has only one timetabled train terminating there in the very early morning at 00:07 (23:18 from New Street), but with the unreliability of LNR's timetable you're likely to see more throughout the day terminating there instead of Rugeley.

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Reliability on the trent valley is beyond a joke now. Weekends - Don't even bother! Weekdays - Get the train one hour earlier as there's a real chance your preferred one will be cancelled. Off peak cancellations are one thing, but (as was the case yesterday) cancelling the 0937 arrival into...

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Lots of southbound crewe via Trent Valley services terminated at MKC now (used to be quite uncommon) , and lots of northbound Trent Valley services terminated at Rugby (used to happen every now and then, but now very frequently).

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

The Trent valley line cancellations and part cancellations are unacceptable. Does anyone know how long the staff shortages on the TV at weekends, especially Sundays will last? 2 trains cancelled in a row on an hourly service is really poor.

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

"struggling" is an understatement. Two northbound cancellations in a row for an hourly service is absolutely ridiculous. Then another cancellation later, and two trains only making it from MKC to the trent valley. Big improvements!

Lots of alterations on the Trent valley today. Very poor.

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

They can manage almost no 4 carriage trains south of Northampton, yet roughly half of our weekday Trent Valley services will be still be 4, its disappointing.

Why do long distance XC trains call at Tamworth or Burton?

I don't think enough cross country services stop at Tamworth considering Reading/Southampton - Newcastle services have lots of waiting time en-route (this is the only cross country service I don't regularly use so I have no idea whether it's too crowded upon leaving Birmingham to make tamworth...

Longport gets just the one EMT service per hour so stone isn't the only one. Longport gets just the one EMT service per hour so stone isn't the only one. When it reopens, I imagine Barlaston will also just have one train per hour too.

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

I don't think there are any plans for wmtrains to introduce a second hourly services between Stafford, Stoke & Crewe. From what I can gather, the original plan was for one WMR service per hour between Crewe and Birmingham via Stoke, however people were not happy with having their London service...

Scotland - Birmingham - Euston services have more robustness built into the timetable, unlike the new LNR timetable

Totally agree!!!! There's little point in extending quiet services to 8 carriages if they can't even manage to extend our busiest ones!

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Wow the timetable seems very vulnerable in the sense that a problem in one place could cause chaos in another due to how interlinked all the services are.

Are Liverpool via Northampton & Birmingham planned as 4 cars?

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Hmm, but Trent Valley services terminating at Euston look like they turn around to form a Tring stopper or a Crewe via Northampton, Birmingham and Stoke. :|

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

Why are they lengthening trains that aren't too busy? Eg. The 0846 from Euston. They should give busier services 8 carriages, not quieter ones.

LNR new WCML timetable, May 2019 (in open data feeds)

I'm actually shocked! 0854 and 1010 in the new timetable from lichfield to London are busy at the moment but will still be 4 carriages! 1546 is rammed and still 4, 1446 is well loaded (especially Friday) and still 4. This is most disappointing.
