    Seeing forum members unexpectedly

The guy temporarily (until we both moved) sat in front of me on the 0850 Manchester Picc to Windermere looks really, really familiar for some reason, to the point where I feel sure he’s a forumer. Haha. :)

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

Now this, is a beautiful thing. Especially when you’ve been up since 3am, on board since 4:15am, and won’t get to your partner’s until midday. Absolutely phenomenal breakfast. Even if it did take until Crewe to arrive  Out of my favourite black pudding sadly but I didn’t care. Here: A...

    ASLEF strikes W/c 6th May

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, could you clarify please? 1713849908 Very fair and balanced perspective; I respect that and agree.

Ahh, well I'm lucky to get a train with a buffet at all (last time it was a 197 without a trolley), so I won't be too spoilt about it ;)

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

First Class got Maroon seat covers, if that's what you mean. Giving the red and blue standard class seats the same simple treatment (and perhaps removing the stripes from the doors) would have brought the Voyagers far more on-brand inside, as per 170s and HSTs, rather than leaving them feeling...

Many thanks. I'm hoping at some point to get a long run on HD01-03. I want the Virgin East Coast memories

    Future of the 350/2s

Again, entering speculative threads simply to state that it's not what's happening is completely contradictive to the purpose of this sub-forum.

    Derailment near Grange Over Sands

I'm using TfW on the way home, delay repay's inevitable anyway ;)
  9. TT-ONR-NRN

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

I’m just waiting for someone to take a snap of a MR magazine and upload it  I’m not trekking to WHSmiths just to see it, but I’m really curious.

    Derailment near Grange Over Sands

Well, I was kinda hoping I'd get my £90 return to Ulverston tomorrow refunded through delay repay as with the last 3 times (due to the bus taking an hour longer), but yes, it is good news

    SWR Repaints and Refurbishments

Thanks. Looks exactly the same

Have I still got 67022 on tomorrow's 0435 from CDF? I'm after my fry up

Have the leather headpieces been retained?
  14. TT-ONR-NRN

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

Same. I’d have even taken the 197 style Sophia over a FISA Lean. The tables will be a downgrade too. FISA Lean pull downs are much smaller than the Antolins. Anyone able to upload a picture of the interior concept shown in MR please?
  15. TT-ONR-NRN

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

How bitterly disappointing. FISA Lean comes with that awful pole blocking the legs of anyone sat in the window seat, too.

Had post 292, thinking about it?

    London to Edinburgh/Glasgow Question

It is, and therefore despite leaving fifteen minutes earlier, that Edinburgh service will get to its destination considerably later (1618) than the Glasgow service (1500).
