Personally if you can tell a railway shot is over edited, then its unlikely to be good.

Its being edited, either by adjusting the levels, or, colour-burning parts of the picture. Also Probably a saturation increase and extra sharpening.

vp185s are from the early 90's, i think they where lat installed in 2002

To be honest i dont think the difference is that substancial, considering a difference in engine ECU, exhaust, intake, and the fact that one has an alternator over straight DMU, mybe gearing is different also?

It does, because generally, bridge shots are dull (Same composition for one)

Also dont they have different mufflers?? Where is the Cummins QSK19 diesel engine manufactured?
