Hi guys, In terms of the shift work/start to your shift how is that worked? Say you’re first train is at 05.55 does your shift start then or does it start maybe 10-15 minutes earlier? Doesn’t really matter, just a bit more insight would be helpful.

Seems to me that they need to make driving instructors roles more desirable and get more on board doing that first, before they come up with plans for new routes etc. How do they expect to implement their plans if it’s all going to bottle neck due to lack of DIs

Got the same email. Why did they even mention the Orpington depot in the first place?! The whole recruitment is a shambles really. Think I’m gonna try and forget about it all now, and live my life. Always so disheartening. MMI and assessments only last 2 years with thameslink right?

Strange, I’ve passed MMI and assessments too, maybe just a weak application then. Not to worry, will waiting on GTR to get back to me

I wouldn’t want to say 100% yes, but in my experience, then probably yes. Don’t get your hopes up too much until you know for sure. They seemed quite quick (within a week or so) in my experience to tell you if you’ve passed or failed. The wait is for a start date.

Hi mate, don’t read too much into that. I passed the assessment, DMI and MMI for a trainee driver role back in July (I think). Mine changed to offer as soon as I passed the last thing, Now waiting for a medical and course date.
